I wonder when the other drivers are going to wake up and do anything about the obvious team driving these 2 stablemates have been doing for months and months.

Sooner The Bettor with his gate speed has been the bunny for Merlin almost every race this year. Seems no other trainer or driver have any nerve to stop it. You wouldn't get away with it in Oz every time they race, they would actually wake up and give their horses a chance.

Barry must be laughing, money in the bank every time they race.

They were just a bit too clever for the rest tonight. That is how to drive to assist both stablemates.T mitchell always drives for his own horse,which is a change from what you  often see s phelan do.Phelan not driving tonight,but hes often quite happy to sacrifice his own chance for the sake of the better stablemate. Phelan is consistent in what he does,so punters can't complain as they should know what to expect.

could never bet on that guy . He's always way to conscious of what the stable-mates are doing. 

Even last week when Barry's stable ran the Trifecta in the Cardigan Bay stakes 2 yearold Group2 feature, Phelan was on the other unplaced runner.(as usual)  Has really destroyed a lot of their chances over the years.

Nearly another quinella in race 10 as well with Miki Montana and Artisan . Miki and Merlin both owned in Queensland too , so good to see Barry looking after the Bright side. 😉🍾

haha 😄 my dad had a picture of piggy Muldoon on the wall 😆 , so seen too much of that man a lot of years lol. Must of been PM for quite some time?.

Still love Nz harness racing after leaving on the steel bird with Lightning Blue. His colours won at Cambridge last night too (on Oceanic Art) , bringing back memories of Blues first career start for Mike Berger all those years ago. Had one of the best drivers going too. Owen Purdon. What a class act family they have always been.
