    • Where have I stated that in my opinion the whip rules are being adhered to?  Or for that matter that they are being policed correctly?  I haven't. However my opinion is that the rules as they are now are difficult to enforce.  Which leads to a perception of inconsistency.   What I do take issue with is individuals with a bee in their bonnet sitting at home riding their Lazy-Boy and trawling through replays looking for rule breakers.  Then to prove their point selectively taking snapshots of pictures out of context and posting them online. Not only do we have below average armchair Jockeys bashing real Jockeys but they are bashing the sport of racing.  "Oh but if they didn't do it we wouldn't have any pictures to take". Send the pictures to the Stipes but don't think you are taking the moral high ground by posting them online to feed the anti-racing mob. Sure debate the issues - go hard at it.
    • Gamma, great to see the TAB taking these larger bets, and not talking $1k @ $1.90! That is not a large bet in this day and age! TAB need to be encouraging the larger scale punters to offload, rather than restrict  many! Yes they will suffer some losses but overall they have the advantage! The thing is it takes so many smaller scale punters to wager to get anywhere near the larger offloading punter!!z Why they do not utilise this is very hard to fathom?
    • Swapping the whip is the least and last thing apprentice jockeys should be concerned about and in my view it's questionable whether it should be permitted at all.   Ironical that the majority of the slow bastards you've been associated with are the very ones who are in need of the whip the most, flank or no flank.
    • I'd be here all day.  There are quite a number.  Peruse any page of the rule book and you'll see what I mean. In my opinion, which you don't share, there is no debate over the whip rules not being adhered to.  Horses are being flanked continually but, these flaunts of the rules are ignored.  Do you think authorities are worried there will be too many inexperienced and unfashionable jockeys left available on race day if all offenders are dealt with?
    • very good. No secret that 'Wisper' the one to beat after winning a Group 1 for our star trainer driver Pete McMullen at the Winter carnival last year.   Chiefy  likes to let RIPP at anyone so he gets No. 1. The Galah  knows the best win these sort of races so can have Pete's stable-mate No 3.  Gamma  has some great memories racing against 2 great people Christina and Charlie. so has No. 4. NowOrNever  a fierce NZ trotting patriot so gets the ex-pat Canterbarian No. 5. Brodster Loves to bounce around after a Win so he is with the NZ Cup Placegetter No. 8 Beach Ball Ranga is a tiger when it comes to the quiz horses and is in the lead. gets the WA tiger No. 10    Anyone wanting to Pick a Quinella from the race posted above  , By all means Have a Go , (even the gentlemen listed here )  Race to be run  7.40 tonight NZ TIME.
