    • Deluded is putting it mildly, some of the shite is unreal. Ellersle always looks empty on raceday so new track Fine as it is only thing it attracts is owners and trainers, trying to invent big days  like champions day but running a poor second to Christchurch, which beats anything Auckland does hands down. Many of the small country clubs will survive if the community want them, Riverton is just one of a good few I think are doing a good job, you can't tell me Masteton or Central Otago would rank ahead, they don't even race on their own courses anymore, makes the so called awards look like a crok  of shit.
    • They all stay in that job , there is nothing easier for them to do and everyone who gets in that role manages to hide fairly well.
    • Yes I've been arguing that for months now much to the derision of some.  Why aren't they using a Going Stick at Ellerslie and publishing the results?  As for the AWT's I've never understood why they take the lazy option and don't measure the firmness and shear of the synthetics and publish those.  At the very least it would give track managers some data to show what works and what doesn't.  Ellerslie behaves like a AWT NOT a traditional turf track or for that matter a standard Strathayr.  Wilcox has as good as admitted that in press releases.
    • Logic would say so.  Looking at @JMO 's photos the kickback must be really high.  I liken it to being on the beach and someone kicks sand in your face.  It isn't a very enjoyable experience and given the sensitivity of horses eyes I imagine they don't enjoy it either.
    • A cool, calm, and collected Cabo Spirit entered the Santa Anita starting gate for the $101,000 American Stakes (G3T) April 20. When his competition decided to leave him alone on the lead, he made them pay late as he coasted to the wire in victory.View the full article
