    • actually i just googled the hrnz rule and while there have been many rule breachs over the years, the first one to pop up to search was a meeting in 2017. That day both Gerard O'reilly and Leo O'reilly both drove "for an extendfed period ",with a leg dropped  in the home straight. Both got a $100 fine. I had a quick look at the video and neither was hocking, both i assume just lost their footing and had their foot about where Moran had his. They had it for about 4-5 strides whereas moran had it for 9.  I don't remember at the time any outcry as to foul driving or cheating.
    • Fair enough, speak the truth and shame the devil, they used to say, sounded like the past president was still doing the speeches and announcing on the day, didn't hear anything from new president, bar what was in the race book, still another great days racing on the coast.
    • The past president of the Reefton Jockey Club had some stern words for J Oatham after the last race. I am told that he asked J. Oatham not to return after the lies he was accused of, regarding the cancelation of the 2023 meeting. I know that he resigned as President because of the non-action of the RIU, who refused to acknowledge that no lies had been told by their man, which is not correct after I asked many riders at the 2023 meeting that they did not agree with what he alleged that they were not happy to continue to ride. This is a reason why the RIU should not investigate ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES THERE OWN.
    • Christian Cullen also a winner of the Biggest race in Australia that year as well . Day 2/ Here's a ripper for today , with another kiwi trained horse who also achieved that Big Double . Slicing through late between Two great Interdominion Grand Final winners to take the  Victory. 🏆 a/ The winner is....... ?   b/ The Placegetters are...... ?   (both NZ bred champions) clue= The horse on the left Won this race a couple of times himself and was the first Standardbred to reach the $2,000,000 in Oz or NZ.
