    • Totally agree. Atrocious maltreatment which deserved a greater penalty imo. That's what caught my attention.
    • They also did this barbaric outdated practice so deserve every second of their penalty.    The report describes the "razzing" as occurring on race days, and involving fitting horses with head gear, blinds and earplugs — but allowing them to see and hear — and tying them to a pole near a rear wall of the wash bay. The final report states that Mr Yole had instructed his brother, Tim Yole — who has also had his racing licence disqualified for three years — to carry out the "regime".
    • OK. Thanks Gamma. I'm not a trotting person, so not really up with the play but spotted this thread. Just remembered him being suspended but think that was overturned despite a Supreme Court ruling upholding it? Sounds like an appropriate result in the end.
    • was outed last Winter. His old man Wayne Yole now is 'head' trainer, but they bought in a rule where he could only start 4 horses per race. for example He had 17 horses in last Sunday and none ran a place in Tas country meeting.  They are the worst training ever seen in harness. Would rather the great sport be banned then watch that lot do it.  Here's a clipping from today regarding Penalty . Guess we see him back July 2027 🙄 In short: A final decision by an independent stewards panel has found Tasmanian harness racing trainer Ben Yole guilty of "mistreating" horses and has handed down a three-year disqualification. Mr Yole was also found guilty of administering an intra-articular injection to a horse within eight days of a race meet, and was fined $5,000. What's next? The three-year disqualification has been backdated to July 29, 2024.
