  1. I also agree with that.
  2. That's how I read it.
  3. If my research is correct in the case of Ashlee Mundy's death the accident occurred in December 2012. The RIU released their findings early February 2013. The Coroner's Report was published August 2014. Feel free to correct me if you will.
  4. BTW the actual current Act as of 25 May 2022 is The Coroners Act 2006. I don't believe Section 74 applies in this case at all.
  5. I was referring in the first instance to Joe Poster no one else. With regard to the RIB they don't have their hands tied at all in relation to them fulfilling their racing obligations. Or at the very least communicating where they are at. However if you can point us all to the section of the Coroner's Act that ties their hands that would be good.
  6. Moderation is being used as censorship on other sites. I would have had no problems with the topic being discussed on BOAY. As you have pointed out there are many issues with regard to how the RIB handle things. You know my opinion on that. Yes the issue is sensitive for some as it involves the death of a young man but that shouldn't limit a wide-ranging discussion on what are serious issues. In my opinion the industry is suffering from a lack of robust debate on many issues and it should involve confronting those that are accountable. There are no legal reasons to not have these discussions including the one that has raised the issue of censorship.
  7. The Comic Dog does censor. There are numerous posters on moderation.
  8. Which just goes to show you how pointless such proclamations are in New Zealand.
  9. I guess starvation, tribal rejection and over population forced you to get in a canoe and try and find another island to live. Anything else and you'd be labelled a colonist.
  10. You've never actually sailed a boat obviously.
  11. A recent construct based on a romanticised revision of history.
  12. They didn't. They were island hoppers driven by hunger.
  13. Or "gift" us with an incredible responsibility at birth e.g. Queen Elizabeth.
  14. Nup. William and Kate have it all sorted. Charlie will be a figurehead. Harry knows now what side his bread is buttered on and so does his missus. For the latter it only took a few months off the tit to see what was being missed out on. As for OZ being a Republic - yeah na. A colony built on the foundations of bread thieves couldn't manage themselves. You only have to look at the mess and corruption in the State Governments. NZ becoming a Republic? Not while there aren't any checks and balances in place. The last 3 years have been bad enough with Princess Cindy let alone giving her ilk more power. I'd suggest we reversed a few decisions from the past e.g. once again elevate the Privy Council to the highest court in NZ. I'd love to see a challenge to the RIB make it to that court!
  15. But you only ever infer ONE "logical possible explanation"! Not that that explanation IS "logical" in the absence of any evidence.
  16. Don't get in the way of @the galah's conspiracy.
  17. Facts yes but anything else is speculation. What's more if there was anything untoward then it will be detectable. Afterall according to you the RIB and HRNZ are doing a fantastic job in detecting cheating. Apart from INCA of course.
  18. Do you have ANY understanding of what it takes to get a horse competitive and to the races? Are you actually involved in ANY capacity with Harness Racing?
  19. Can you tell us all what exactly you are referring to that was made illegal?
  20. Doesn't matter if they're not fast enough or break down under training pressure. I remember back to when I was working in a stable 40+ years ago the % that got to the races was about the same I.e. 1 in every 2. Nowadays with limited opportunities for slow horses I'm surprised the drop out rate isn't greater. Now that's where HRNZ might be able to make a difference in providing opportunities for slower horses enabling owners to get some wins and return.
  21. Most of them are not fast enough and or don't stand up to a preparation.
  22. They target it anyway. You are just bringing the industry down. Do you actually support it?
  23. Training and racing a horse as an elite athlete will upset any woke person. FFS - they'll want to ban mouth bits soon!!!! As Tana Umaga once said to a Test Referee -
  24. Like what for example?
  25. Why is it "dodgy"? SAFE is coming after racing regardless.
