I haven't looked closely at the numbers yet....but Nearly $1m on a special project named "Racing Administration System".....obviously nothing to do with checking the handicapping.

These Melbourne Trainers sure like the Beach!

Godolphin’s travelling foreman Nacim Dilmi could be forgiven for feeling like a nomadic gypsy given how he has spread his wings this year – but believes a change of scenery for Kementari will bring out the best in the enigmatic galloper on Saturday. Dilmi and wife Lauren are currently in Perth with Kementari who will contend for the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) on Saturday, and Trekking who is the favourite for the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes seven days later. The Perth trip is the third time this year French horseman Dilmi has had to quarantine due to the COVID pandemic as he has also been on the ground for Godolphin during the Adelaide and Brisbane carnivals. He has seen a few changes of scenery in that time but believes the one currently being experienced by Kementari will bring out the best in the galloper who has not won since his Randwick Guineas triumph in March 2018. Many punters have sacked James Cummings-trained Kementari, who warmed up for a Railway Stakes tilt with a third-placed finish behind fellow Railway contender Kay Cee in the Group 2 Lee Steere Stakes at Ascot on November 7. But Kementari, along with stablemate Trekking, has now spent extra time frolicking in the waters of Perth’s beautiful Kwinana Beach and Dilmi believes that has made a big difference to the six-year-old. “Kementari has spent a lot of time in Sydney and Melbourne but coming here to Perth for him is a completely different environment,” Dilmi said. “The weather is great and he absolutely loves going to the beach here, he just power walks through the water. “We can’t take them to the beach as often in Sydney and Melbourne and for Kementari’s mind I think some extra beach time has done him really well. “The improvement in him since he had his first run in Perth is amazing, he looks magnificent and he has improved coat wise and how he is in his mind is also much better.” Godolphin travelling foreman Nacim Dilmi. Kementari is stabled with Perth trainer Neville Parham – the Godolphin galloper is within eyeshot of one of his main Railway Stakes rivals Kay Cee. The Blue Army has taken extra confidence by a statement from wealthy Perth owner Bob Peters. Peters owns Railway Stakes favourite Inspirational Girl ($3.40) but has declared Kementari ($10) is the horse to beat from barrier one. “It was quite interesting that Bob Peters got interviewed on radio and he was saying Kementari was the horse to beat,” Dilmi said. “For someone like Bob Peters, who has won this race the last two years, to say that was terrific.” Depending on how Kementari races this Saturday, there is a chance he could contest the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) a fortnight later. Dilmi hasn’t been home to Sydney much this year and at the end of the Perth carnival he is set to fly straight to Queensland to prepare Godolphin’s horses for the rich Gold Coast Magic Millions carnival in January. “I’ve been away from home so much, it’s lucky I’ve got no kids and no pets,” Dilmi quipped. -
Trekking (Winterbottom) and Kementari (Railway) enjoyed a nice recovery session at the beach this morning in Perth!

I notice none of the horses that won on Saturday could be called "Wet Trackers"! -

Don't let the facts get in the way of your narrative. The complaints came after the rock hard near dangerous track presented on the 3rd of October. They didn't just come from Te Akau. Indeed it would be fair to say that the complaints were universal. Of course we had Pitty saying it was a good track with Reefton joining him. To isolate out one Trainer or Stable from a long list is disingenuous and to infer that their success on the final day was reliant on the manipulation of the track is downright wrong. Te Akau might be the dominant stable in New Zealand but to suggest that they have influence over the weather is laughable. Just to remind you all what it looked like one MONTH earlier. I would say if a track like that had been presented on either of the Guineas Days then Riccarton would lose the final support it had for the Guineas to stay. Now you may unfairly select Te Akau out of those that complained about 3 October but don't forget they supported the Guineas staying in the South. We also forget that no one complained about the Cup week track until the last day. My only complaint was that it wasn't a D5 but a D4. Supposedly there was a bias and favoured horses who liked Dead tracks. The facts don't actually add up to support either contention. Now of course eveyone is ignoring the real issue the turf track is stuffed. Now Pitty and Reefton support the big spend on the All Weather Track but no mention of renovating the main turf track. -

I agree. The very inside may have been worn but I think saying there was a bias is quite frankly BS. What happened was the first three races were won by horses coming down the outside. The fact they paid big dividends accentuated the dividends. I guess all the bias promoters will be looking forward to the supposed even nature of the new synthetic track. I'll also add that Riccarton being as wide as it is no one was disadvantaged as in no one was forced to race on the inside. -

I believe it improved past a D5. -
Dickhead. Do you actually read anything? Is there a light on the dashboard? As evident from the mistakes the system needs fixing.

As I've said many many times before the issue is the soil structure. To be blunt it's fucked. Turns to glue when it gets really wet and turns to concrete when really dry. There is no buffer to work with. -
The point I was making is it is easy to blame the starter when the system should be foolproof. Didn't there use to be a flashing light?
-
Seems like a poor system if it isn't fool proof. No disrespect Freda.

Thomas can you stop posting the same stuff and external links.

It was clearly evident that Trackside was running a shoe string budget when people were being interviewed on course and they were wearing headphones and holding their own microphone. But it will be alright Saundry will sell a couple of race courses. All the same there should be a bloody inquiry into the Windsor Park/Randall and Co broadcasting con.

How do you know it was "wet" on the inside? The complaints were that it was "worn"...... If irrigation created a bias then why did this not happen on the first day? -

Then you have a wider strip that could be worn. At the end of the day the protests of a bias are exaggerated. The inside was worn but Riccarton is a big track and you didn't have to run on it.
