  1. I don't think they will as I don't think Te Akau think that that horse is their best chance in the race. The impression I'm getting is that the horse has surprised them somewhat and is going from strength to strength with racing. Apparently he is very tough and has the constitution of an ox and the appetite to match.
  2. Some Why would Opie be charged a fee? The inference that you and others are making that Opie is only a bystander is the appeal doesn't make sense. It is in Opie's best self-interest to ride in those races. Afterall how many $1m races do we have in NZ? Sure Te Akau is paying for a QC to do their bidding but that is their right and is a business decision. The lack of quality and numbers in our top riding ranks is at its worst ebb in decades. Opie is a world class jockey proven on the international stage. If he does get allowed to ride then it will be damn interesting seeing which of the Te Akau 2 yr olds he will ride. It is unlikely to be the current race favourite.
  3. Yes they have applied for a Judicial Review of the Appeal decision. I find it amusing (if not alarming) with the reaction from some quarters. Quite frankly this type of action happens all the time in the OZ - even if you went back to the original offences you'll find the riding on any Group Day at any Metro track in OZ a lot "rougher" than NZ. But back to the Judicial Review and Appeals. Again this happens every day of the week in OZ. We seem to have short memories - how many times have Owners/Trainers appealed to the nth degree for Hugh Bowman? If there is a process available to appeal then it is there to be used. To make ad hominem attacks on Opie Bosson and David Ellis-Te Akau and infer that there is favouritism or bias based on a perceived weight of influence are unjustified. At the end of the day it is a duty for Te Akau to pursue all courses of action for their stakeholders. It would be remiss to not do it. As I said it happens every day of the week in OZ racing and it is naive of some online commentators to suggest it shouldn't be the case here.

  9. She can probably spell better than some.
  10. Contrary to what you might think I don't spend my entire day reading everyone's posts. I wouldn't have known what Forbury had written unless you hadn't kept going on about it. Which proves my point. Yes some posters opinions are clearly not based on any facts. In terms of fiction you are good at posting that with your regurgitation of industry spin without having done any analysis. I don't think Karrots needs you to speak on her behalf. Yes you might have a point as it seems to be the only thing you post about.
  11. It's great that you're not surprised. If you mean by saying "I'm OK" that I agree with what he said or how he said then I'm not "OK". However any rational person can see it for what it is - an illiterate unfactual rant which reflects negatively on the person who posted it. They only person giving it oxygen is you for whatever ulterior motive that you have. Again most rational people can see through that.
  12. I'll give you one thing you are fairly transparent in your agenda. Objectionable doesn't necessarily mean harmful or illegal. Next comment?
  13. Yep and you quoted defamation laws even though the post wasn't about you. I assume you aren't a lawyer either. I replied to your moderation report.
  14. Which rule states that? Suggest you reference it when you file your complaint. By the way 20yrs midget pony handler at the circus doesn't really count as being a Horseman.
  15. Go FFS yourself. On the one hand you criticise the RIU for what you allege to be incompetence and then give them credit for knowing the medical definitions of the words laceration and cut. Which, not without some irony, you had to go Google! The Vet passed it fit - rightly or wrongly. The Stipe at the start didn't over rule - rightly or wrongly. The Starter didn't over rule - rightly or wrongly. End of story. Feel free to lodge an information or complaint yourself to the RIU. Let us know how you get on.
  16. You have become fixated on your solution. You don't work for TAB NZ IT help desk do you? Of course I've used Speedtest even though I prefer other options which give a more detailed analysis. MY BROADBAND ACCESS SPEED IS NOT THE PROBLEM! But just to make you happy! See attached image. Note anything over 25Mbps is considered GOOD for HD Streaming.
  17. Who knows because it didn't happen. Obviously you haven't finished trawling all the Stewards reports from the weekend or you'd be criticising Te Akau for not riding the 2 yr old back as indicated prior to the race. Oh thats right race circumstances dictated otherwise and the horse won anyway. Who would have thought!
  18. Its a classic case of one error leading to another escalating to unintended or unpredictable consequences. In this case it isnt ALL the RIU's fault. As for the Vet passing the horse fit to start that was his judgement call. Right or wrong it was his call on what he saw. You couldn't expect the RIU to override the Vet's advice. It is even conceivable that the horse wasn't even bleeding when inspected at the barrier. As you say Freda Thomass can be tiresome. FFS he is still litigating stuff that happened 3 seasons ago! Of course no positive posting of an improved protocol from him.
  19. Do you think I should ban him for the potential to incite a riot?
  20. HE DID NOT BAN HIS JOCKEY FROM GIVING EVIDENCE. How could he when he didn't have legal power to do that anyway! YOUR ARE THE PERPETRATOR OF FAKE NEWS!
