My final thread - 2 days to go - sharing fun experiences had on here
Jones replied to Jones's topic in Trotting Chat
My final post! Arrgh. So sad. This really sucks. Already feel like I am missing out. Is this what HRNZ really want when they thought of this social media rule. Do understand the concept behind it, however any bullying will continue. Hard to control the internet. (Have to say tho these new hate talk rules govt are talking of bringing, seem maybe a step too far … need to read more on it ...) Miss you all already. Take care all. Karrots PS watch out for Sweet Lous all over the place next year & year after with lots of hooves on ground. Watch out for Telfer stable next year again numbers, numbers numbers. If the Jewels go ahead next again at Cambridge, Good luck, go hard, & please, check, check and triple check all hospo rooms on day & customer service communication with staff prior exactly times things open shut etc. Operations. Go hard North Jnrs, Ill be watching & rooting for Y’all and good luck to South Jnrs too - may the best Jnr and team win. If Basil comes back on site, go easy on him, try not to tag team against him, at least someone stick up for him. He’s shares a good different viewpoint. Thank you Brods for sharing your intel on how to make money and become restricted. Still need to put it into action. Thank you Chief for hosting this site. Try not to come down on peeps too much if they share a different opinion than you. Your site will bustle along amazingly well. Thanks Gamms for the fun, nites, we have had when we are both obviously up watching the races & so enthusiastic that we have banter & competitions against each other online, just don’t spill the salt/pepper lol. Thanks Taupiri for positive feedback. Thank you to Gospel for helping with the Karrots $10 Jewels comp etc. Good luck with exams. Davis nearly left you out! Thanks for being a good poster/contributor & link sharing man. Keep up the good work & probably most like-minded to me is Galah. Keep up the great posts Galah. -
Actually here we go. Sometimes, Iv had emails deleted and text deleted off my phone etc. Yes I know its all sounds crazy and weird. Anyway moving on here is the evidence. Red means its a missed call. But do think as Davis said this could have been a spam call, yes its possible.
-
Ill post tomorrow, the screen shot re missed call. (Do think this maybe possibly be a spam call as Davis said, not sure) FYI, heres something Tui moment like this seemingly funny CCP thing. Told someone in industry a couple of days ago, Iv been a poster on a blog & a lil influential. (But can no longer post from 1 July) Eg sometimes HRNZ does story that has been brought up etc. Even specially said that Williamson hold the lead thing after Easter Cup race. They thought I was crazy. Like a crazy horse. To a point, that just like here have back peddled & said haha yes very funny. Fact is I know the truth. As crazy as things sound. Anyway moving on. Ps yes I think Hunter is Paleface but only 80% sure with 20% doubt, hence didn’t want to be openly pushing it on here. Retarded driver being Forbs I was 100% sure about! Just as I am CCP has spied on me. And no its not from anything weird, just been from me hearing things from my friend & of course me being a bit of a Motor Mouth.

Omg I must seem hilarious. Thats interesting Chief re no such number, as I have a missed call on my ph from this number (could try to share the screen shot) & also a Chinese voice message from it. Anyway ok maybe you guys are right & its just spam calls as Davis says. Ok, ok Yeah know, read about Brady. A friend of mine reached out to Brady to ask for a meeting with her re potential donations & potential infiltration within approx 2-3 weeks of them contacting her this came out in the news. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/report-says-china-researcher-anne-marie-bradys-car-tampered-with/2XT7PYKRHQIXS3O3STUVDU5UKI/ (She never replied, but who knows if she even got the message - timing may have just been coincidence). Will leave it at that. Moving on 😄

Well wanted to start my final thread. With 2 more days to go. Finishing up on a positive note lol, thought this thread could be about positive stuff that posters have enjoyed about being on here. My highlights have been seeing Majestic Man win at Cambridge in Mile & talking about it on here in the lead up. Then he came in. Remember some super funny stuff too, remember we were talking about a race how no-one wanted to be in trail or something and drivers they kept moving out of the trail. Think it was Mikey NZ that said maybe that person in front was farting lol. Very funny. Remember Gamms ran a selections comp, but he opened it up so close to time, that the races had pretty much already started. Rusty poked fun at us with a stick, very funny. Not long ago not sure who it was pointed out, an owner whenever their horse won, seemed to shove throat down other peoples. That was pretty funny to read too. All in good taste & fun. Remember when Happy poked fun at Galah for him rewind-then watching over & over with curtains pulled replays of races, he was analysing. Very funny. There are so many more fun laughs & times on here that have made me smile. Thank you all for those.

Get this so, remember when Karrots wrote about having probs re CCP, thought she was being spied on etc in past. After posting about that on here, approx 4 days later, received multiple calls from a number that she did not recognise. Altho the number she just instantly ignored & deleted, she believes from memory, it is the same or if not similar to this number - which called her yesterday, when went to text back asking “Who is this?”, could not text back to this number. It simply WONT go thru. Here is the number 021-474-1068 Today now from another number she received a call, no message was left. Will not post that yet it is a landline, but upon googling it can not identify where it is coming from whose it is. Karrots is very suspicious of this. So listened to the voice-message that was left yesterday by 021-474-1068 & it is a voice message in Chinese. Here is an article in news today. No surprises here. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2021/06/chinese-communist-party-spies-infiltrating-new-zealand-s-universities-lecturers-suspect.html Thank goodness still just have a voice on here. And if it is a CCP agent here in NZ or someone from the CCP 50 cent army, Ill just go to the police here in NZ if it is you & this continues. Collect my evidence & off I will go. Harassment/intimation. Yes its hard to catch you, as its likely a burner phone. And you lot are so sneaky. They try to F with you. You know intimate you. On NZ soil! How wrong is this. Can you believe it. How bold they are just from those posts on here, IF it is them, has stirred them. PS I maybe wrong, & it maybe a coincidence or whatever and as without full evidence it is hard to actually say for a fact. But my gut is telling me its them.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but enjoying reading a variety of stories on HRNZ from the small time trainer who is inches away from 50 wins then the other end of the scale too the top achievers - a balanced mix 👍😃 Also note Whale has lost weight, that is fantastic for him. Maybe a name change ... mind you that is his brand. So guess it will stay & dolphin probably wouldn't work.
-
That was a bit sneaky of them lol. Running the race when I wasn't ready with chair-leader pom-poms out. Be interesting to see how far she goes in Oz, if she can get a Group 2 or even an elusive Group 1 over there. Ya just never know. Taking a look at her resume, she was quite the 2 y-o. Winning, 2 Group 3's & then placing 2nd Group 1 at Jewels behind Sweet on Me. Will keep an eye out for her 👀😄
-
Well I have just had to watch the replay, as thought race was on at NZ time 9.50pm now. Not sure how I muddled that up ... Had set alarm specially too to watch. Boo hoo, didn't get to see the great win as it happened. Congrats to all connections 😄
-
Wait, there are only 4 horses in the race. 3 against 1 oh no. Captivated to watch now. Go Spellbound!
-
All things considered thought they ALL drove well. WELL done North Jnrs 😄

So what's wrong with NZ Harness Racing, what would you do to fix it?
Jones replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Remember With a Dream starting a thread about Black type for breeding. If this black type which is meant to hold Prestige I gather ... , which is I think sub 2.00 … ? But not 100% sure ... IF that is correct … ? then think it needs to get updated as With a Dream suggested earlier. Nothing special these days that I view for a horse to go faster than MR2.00 Think its getting more standard these days isn’t it? Yes Gamms would love another Jonny Longshot tip if he is tuning in. -

Luds you are right, not always sheer positivity. That is a lil funny lol. But do get Chiefs drift. We have been over this before. But hey suck it up, just a few more days to go. 30th is not far away. Again, sorry if have been picking on you lately. It's hard to understand where you are coming from when you post something like this, here is an example on this thread: “I question the basic assumption that there's anything wrong with NZ harness racing”. Then moments later you say this “But as for the basket case that is the north ????!!!! Maybe you might not realise it, but this is a complete contradiction. Keep posting tho, your good at chatting about Deep South things & starting threads on the Deep South 😃 -

Before logging out for nite, got to give this a toot toot & whistle. Actually no a hoot hoot as toot did you know is fart in USA lol. Anyway YES give the youngsters a go 😃 -
Hey there Harrison, Thanks for your input. And info. Was just about to reply to your post on the other thread, but Ill reply here since its about Jnr drivers. Yes things are much easier said than done right. Remember posting ideas re ownership ideas & Unhinged explained something similar e.g. things they tried and didn't work. Its a catch22 really isn't it. I can't see a fix then, just a slow decline til no more Jnr races. It saddened me to see Jnr races in North not go ahead because of not enough noms etc. Hence have spoken out about it. With the reasons you outline makes sense e.g. the unruly horses, (didn't think about that!) lol. Hmm, guess folks will have to brain-storm a kind of support system for Jnrs specially North. Good luck and will be rooting for y'all and team North come the Champs next month!

Repeating what I said on other thread but this: Jnr driver races in North need to be done via a random draw. Driver is allocated to horse based on a random draw. If not enough horses nom-ed then 1 o 2 others to be randomly drawn to be pulled into event. In order to be able to hold a Jnr drive race once a month in North. -

Its the final countdown, dada da dadadadada, dada da da, dadadadada. Ok so now it is at a point where you actually crack me up Luds. 27 May Luds says “There's clearly something going on in the South. Not only the Forbury committee at odds, but the mayor of Invercargill and his deputy are not talking again!!!!” “Lead article in today's ODT, the attempt on Tuesday night to unseat the chair and two committee members from the Forbury Park. Nothing like a good internal bun fight to distract from the real issues of a new Forbury racing centre”. Feel like Im picking on you now Luds, so apologises, no more picking on you. -
I swear I don't understand where Luds head is at sometimes. The actual competition that they have & a trophy or whatever it is they win, & the fun thing they try to qualify, then first and foremost its an individual comp, 2nd there are the 2 teams. As they travel with their team, etc. Guess like netball, rugby, teams play in competitions travelling to tournaments, rep teams, then regional teams, & if you are good enough you go onto International & represent your country against other countries. All just childish stuff according to Luds. Oh my. But wait for the contradiction, Sure its on its way soon lol. Fair call tho do see Brods point re Alex propping up etc, & they do I think have low turnover. Hmm so yip absolutely get that point of view. The North grass meetings, what was their turnover ... ? Not bad Im guessing, yet hello a lot of those fell. With the odd 1 getting a recall. Do think tho if racing just in South, then its likely just a matter of time before it falls too. Could be 30-40 years. Without numbers in North, overall numbers would be what 1/3 Less ish (guesstimate on North current numbers to take away).

Less horse numbers - less supply more demand - is it driving export prices up
Jones replied to Jones's topic in Trotting Chat
Who is username Irish. Smart purchaser it seems. On it. This person. Just brought Lot 3 - 5 - 7 - 8 on Gavel House. Stonewall Stud/Telfer adding to their already massive brod in getting Lot 1. Nice article on HRNZ recently about Statfords eye for a weanling. -
You two are funny, lil cuties. Funnily enough, did you know Luds that Brods started the Spitfire thread, that you strongly disliked. You know the thread that went on and on and on. Not sure why Im bringing this up now, as see you 2 are besties, maybe me just being a lil fart. Anyway, hopefully Im still able to post when the Jnr North verse South drivers challenge is on, to sock it to Y'All hahaha Go the North.
-
Umm elephant in the room, but moving on. Yes if I was to see you guys point re just make it South based, thing is once something is done, its done, can't get it back or un-do something. Think about that again, once North is shut down JUST the South. Which then just leads to only the South shutting down, not the North and the South. You ideally want to slow the shut down. Delay as long as possible if there is to evidently in 30 years time be one. Brods answer to that question I asked recently is 71. But that is just what a member told me that was at a meeting. So as this is a public forum, its just 2nd hand, not 1st hand so may not be true. Well a true fun rivalry is starting North verse South Jnr drivers challenge. Excellent. Ohhh you guys are building yourselves up to be stomped down hahahaha. Lets see South Cheerleaders are Brods/Ludwig/Gospel/Gamms some of my favourites & North cheerleaders are Me/Taupiri/Elijay
-
Wow Gamms yes looks like based on this stats don't lie & you are correct. Think Cameron used to be a Jnr for Herlihy, Hanara is or was the stable Jnr. Cameron is senior now, thru & thru I think. Yes Ferguson is son of Ferguson. Update Drake is now listed as driving number 4. Great. Still think, this North Jnr ranks etc as per ideas above needs to be taken seriously. Something needs to be implemented before North Jnr races are cancelled altogether due to lack of noms & or lack of North available drivers.

It's a clash North Island v South Island but not in NZ
Jones replied to Gammalite's topic in Trotting Chat
Some sort of wrap came off, not sure if its the same gear failure as Ludwig or not ... (tots just playing around peeps, trying to be funny) 😄 Here is an article on the horses performances & trainers thoughts on both if anyone is interested. https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/tommy-goes-all-the-way-untouched-and-there-should-be-more-easy-kills-to-come-in-brisbane/ Iv noted poor Dealer has had such bad bad luck when it comes to barrier draws, & always has to do extra work in running line & coming wide, maybe it is taking a toll. Not sure will see with his near future racing. Hope he gets a decent draw VERY soon. -
Back to topic, so number 4 for S Doody, still has no driver, think Drake is available, because he is down to drive race 9. Rapley maybe available & looks like Hanara is not currently race driving. Really hope this horse is not scratched due to lack of drivers! What North clubs & HRNZ should do something along the lines with North being limited on Jnr numbers & horse noms. An idea Every North Jnr race will have say 8 runners put in or 9. Set a number based on overall field noms. Therefore if they get 7 noms for Jnr, by random selection of computer 1 or 2 others will be put in. (This selection comes only from a horse that hasn't entered in Jnr race in that season, or a horse that hasn't started with a Jnr on in those other races that include a free penalty free win with a Jnr - you can’t get randomly pulled out twice in a season). Also have a random draw for Jnrs on horses. This is to ensure fairness & a spread between those that are putting horses into support Jnrs but have no stable Jnr. So top Jnrs aren't going on same horses that always win. Make it more competitive & give all that enter a chance to draw the top Jnr. Also so that those Jnrs that get less drives per season & less favourable drives as they are not working in top stables, gives them a chance to get the top horse in Jnr race oppose each time a weaker one. The bigger stables may not like this idea that their Jnr won’t be automatically put on their stable horse, BUT do you want Jnr drive races to continue on this way? Change is needed. Think of the BIG picture. There needs to be a small fund account also, which $ can be pulled to make up driver numbers in North from South. EG say number 4 doesn’t have a driver for argument sake, then funds $ gets used to pay for a return flight up for 1 driver to the North. Surely someone somewhere has lots of airpoints too that could be gifted. Also the clubs need to before requesting noms or at the same time, send out an email to North Jnrs - who are available? If get RSVP 7, you know you need to get someone up from South, This not enough noms for North Jnr races & also then not enough Jnr drivers so a horse has to scratch, is a prob that can easily be solved with some thinking. As Brods said Jnrs are the future.
