  1. Brad's decisions were incredibly valid at the time. You can count on less than one hand the amount of times both Marcoola and Speeding Spur have handed up when in front. Let alone both of them doing it in the same race. That skirmish around the last bend was what cost you perhaps winning. Gaps were starting to appear at that point in time but everything went pear shaped at that point.
  2. Ashburton...
  3. Multiple bets on races, win, place or each way plus quin, tri , first 4 treble quadri etc...and generally within the final two or three minutes prior to a race starting as Trackside is usually on non stop in the corner of the office at work.
  4. Have never had anything like that...only issue I've ever had is with watch and bet buffering but that's a connection issue.
  5. I'm sorry, but I just dont get the TAB website stuff. I bloody love it now that I have got used to it and known where things are. I was at HRNZ when we changed the website to what it was before today's change and the reaction was exactly the same. Somethings never change I guess.
  6. There has to be something wrong with the horse. You can't tell me that he's got that bad in a few months that he could go from doing the below to what he offered up tonight. It's a bloody shame, Marcoola when right is exciting and a breath of fresh air. I hope he can turn it around. How good was that race though!
  7. Hard to say it was premeditated Whole race changed complexion when Doc Seelster galloped in score up and left Blair a gap to drop straight to the fence. That was the winning of the race. Jesse appears to be a naturally aggressive driver and isn't afraid to have a crack for the lead when driving.
  8. Hmmm bit like my school report cards.. "Shows promise but could do better." Scotlyn Harry and Sugar Cane running fourth certainly hurt the any 5, all 9 place multi. Oh well, only five months until Methven kicks back in... ???
  9. Second row hurts him but still going food enough to win if he can find a way through.
  10. You can thank the Boys Get Paid movement for that price slash. When they go for one, they really go for one.
  11. Sad to see another grass track season done. Really is some of the best racing we have. In the spirit of finding value prices, here's a few nicely priced runners in each race that I wouldn't hesitate in having an each way on. Hopefully it's not a dog's breakfast. Who knows at The Mot. Race 1: #11 Milly An Eyre $26 & $5.50 Race 2: #12 Living Fantasy $12 & $3.50 Race 3: #11 Pay Me Visa $11 & $3.50 Race 4: #16 Sugar Cane $12 & $3.40 Race 5: #13 Scotlyn Harry $19 & $4.80 Race 6: #5 Gorilla Playboy $16 & $4.00 Race 7: #15 All About Henry $7 & $2.50 Race 8: #13 Kayla Maguire $16 & $4.20 Race 9: #5 Sounds Lika Gem $11 & $3.50
  12. Can't over race like that especially up in grade. She's using all her energy up before she actually gets a chance to use it. Honest opinion: she's just a horse, nothing special. Might win another couple of races with the right kind of run and race. Think there's a race at Mot next week for her then I'd say it's off to the paddock.
  13. Yup, he's had enough starts for me now. Been disappointing. Thought he'd roll them today with that run and what happened in front of him. In saying that I thought Leo would let him slide when Ricky pushed him out. Was just starting to work into it. But he took a hold and gave up all momentum. He'll win next up now that I say he's not getting anymore of my $.
  14. I'd be staying away completely. Perhaps she might only be three back the fence behind the two Bagrie runners, but unless the speed is on - she's probably going to get too keen. One on the second line is the worst possible draw for her. Again, her work has been good this week - but up in grade and with that threat, I'd want $51 to even think about having a dollar or two on her.
  15. Just Michael in the third, if he can get a decent enough crack at them, he won't be far away.
  16. I hope for both our sake, Bicton doesn't lead and she sits in the trail and gets them up the lane.
  17. She won a workout at Methven last week. But in all honesty I can't go near Jafa today. She's worked good this week but I don't like the draw at all I'm worried she'll get trapped away on the fence and get too keen. Mad Lu Li in the last for me.
  18. They had their man their filming for them.
  19. He sure did. After poor run at Mot, they stripped a whole heap of hear off him. He trotted bold and square and looked good. Will be well worth a dollar on Sunday.
  20. It stood on the mark on Saturday. Refused to get out of a light jog for the first 1000m and then showed the speed of Monbet and the heart of I Can Doosit for 50 metres before it tired.
  21. Like it. Like it a lot. I'm going to have a wee each way wager on a couple of roughies who were held up at the wrong times on Friday. Melt Down is one. Olivia Thornley's drive to get it into the trail from the second line was outstanding then the leader stopped on it round the bend. The other is Bright Glow. Hit the line really strongly on Friday and just needs a bit of luck to finish top three tomorrow for mine.
  22. I did have a wee each way investment, Happy. Half way down I thought we were right in the money. Methven workouts and trials to the fore again.
  23. Alta Orlando was very unlucky the other night. I reckon he might have won with clear air. Needs to step away quickly but good each way value in the Cup.
  24. Couldn't agree more. I keep stats for a certain moniker that appears ahead of every race meeting and it's tough going to maintain consistency.
