  1. Really pleased to see 2 good blokes with small teams have a day out at Riccarton yesterday. Jamie Bullard, who i would say had his whole team in yesterday and ended up with 3 wins and a placing and Danny Crozier has 1 in for a win. They were both top riders and are doing an excellent job with their small teams. I watched Danny getting a post-race interview with Brittany, and you would have believed he was back in Ballarat with his Aussie accent, and I am not sure why he was licking his lips throughout the interview. Interesting that Murray Hamilton has shares in 2 of Jamie's winners. He was the person that 2 RIU investigators, when hiding in trees, observed him either putting a saddle or a rug on a horse, when he was disqualified. Good to see him having some luck and long may it continue
  2. Chief, I was not close to being found guilty. The reason I will give will also convince you, i believe. The RIU, JCA, and I had, from memory, at least 3 phone conference calls regarding the charge. The chairman was very clear in the conversations that there was no charge to answer and no chance of succeeding, and that the charges should be dismissed. But egos were being bruised, and Purcell and his team said the charge was to proceed. We all know the result and whilst i had paid 5k to my lawyer as quoted, that didn't end his costs, as after being awarded 15k, he said there was more work than he had estimated, so he also took the 15k. It was worth the money, as while watching Purcell trying to remember the names of the 90 horses he had raced, and breaking into a sweat after getting to around 20, verified his incompetence, which many people believed. I was also going to add where Ross Neal is now after the charade/scandal he was involved with, and how did the other Stipe hold on to his job, after covering up for him?
  3. I had a few mates around to the Mancave to punt and drink a few ales. I was keen on Navigator, so i had an each-way ticket on him and also took a Trifecta. I was happy with myself as i had taken First Five with 3 others to win and had 7 seven horses to run 2nd and third. I had seen the Trifecta had paid $2770, and i thought i had 89%, but to my horror i had left Navigator out. Gerald Shand, who lives across the road, had told me that First Five was a real chance and he rang me pleased he had tip it, after the race and asked if i followed his tip, I lied and said i did. Memo to myself, restrict your drinking when punting.
  4. I did take notice of this ride also, but to her defence, it did appear to be on one rein. As far as the Stewards questioning the ride, well, when you get below average policing of races, I believe they fall well below the expected standard in the whole of NZ
  5. So I followed my money, and thank you for $9 today, but listening to the commentator just before the race, he said it never got balanced.Let me tell you it is hard to get balanced when a jockey who had been posted 3 wide decides that was enough and pulls the left rein and Blue Goddess goes from 1x1 position to having 2 horses behind and Amber Riddell all but gets dislodged, and the rider gets 5 days suspension, and in reality, it is 3 days. This piss me off when at this time of year, when there are races every day, can someone do the form correctly so the industry doesn't lose punters.
  6. When Lance O told Jim Campin to put him on Phillpa Rush in the Oaks as he was the best, and he led all the way in 2400m event, that says enough. Linda with 65 wins, answered the question
  7. Go outside and look at the weather in Dunedin and give me a report. Thanks in advance
  8. Yes but the system now is wrong, maybe a calendar model would be ok, but I believe a monetary policy would be more justifiable, and take away all this National Day rubbish, as i have state,d you can say i was going to Gore and you were based in Ruakaka. Is it worth $500 return airfare for 3 or 4 rides?
  9. Dane/Murray, go and get some medical help, as it has been clear to me and others you need some medical/mental assistance, and i am happy to pay for any help you receive and clearly need urgently.
  10. Murray, go back to AI , THEN GIVE ME THE REPORT, what you are asking.Apples with Apples maybe
  11. No, what I propose is that make the system balanced, and instead of this bullshit of 5 National Days and if found guilty of any charge, forget this blurred system. If a rider is found guilty, if they had 5 rides, take all their fees off them and do the same if they had a full book or 1 ride ,then all this bullshit about were 5 National Days and if they were going to the said meeting, will not come into play,
  12. Mustang, please confirm who Kendra is apprenticed to, Please dont tell me L Robinson and due respect to Jason, was he a bigger talent than D Walsh?
  13. Ok look at the other riders who got 5 NATIONAL DAYS, WHO GOT 5 DAYS and tell me WHEN they were going to the places that covered there 5 NATIONAL Days suspenion and tell me when Kauri went last down to Gore when there was no meeting up North and tell me when he last rode at Ashburton,if ever, and if he was, were the plane tickets booked and who was he riding for? Chief, please, it is just bullshit and if you believe this rubbish. In my view/opinion, he should have been charged under Dangerous/Reckless Riding and take a real penalty that fitted the charge
  14. You wonder why people don't like having a punt down South. The course was presented in great order. The weather played its part, the crowd turned up, so why was the Riding of such a low standard? A total of 6 riders were given suspensions: 5 National Days and 1 rider got 6 National Days. One charge I believe should have been upgraded to Dangerous Riding and that was Kauri, I had an investment in Blue Goddess and was given a nice run until Kauri decided that he had been 3 wide long enough and pulled the left handlebar down and wiped Blue Goddess out ,she dipped with the jockey almost being dislodged, this was shit that i did years ago and like i was handed with the applicable rule. Now this horse was wiped out of the race, so the owner has float and training fees to get the horse to the races. The punters who made it a favourite had thrown their money down the drain.Punters can only take so much rubbish. Now this 5 National Day suspension is rubbish.Kauri gets 5 National Days included Gore,Ashburton and Taupo,i don't believe he would be going to 2, maybe 3 meetings, so should he not advise what Trainers he was going to ride for and get supporting evidence that this fact and if incorrect charge the Trainer and Jockey, just seems a rort to me and look at the SI based jockeys and they fall into this bullshit as well.It is window dressing at best, attempting to show strength, but in fact it is WEAKNESS,being shown by both the Stewards and the RIU and if that what the rule says, change the rule to show real strength and Integrity. Now on a positive note, a rider who I believe is underrated, Corey Campbell, was on Trackside Radio and went through his rides and he labeled Our Approval as his best, even though after the Blue Goddess debacle, i was not going back to Southland to punt when you have Aussie underway, but as he is a rider i rate i backed it along with 3 punting mates got plenty, and he rode it like a professonial and gave it the PERFECT run.
  15. Why would the RIU not provide funds for this? They are all about integrity, and after having horses stabled there. i know how easy it would be to give some substance to a horse/s.They even make it easier by having the trainer's name on the allocated boxes.
