  1. I thought Shoma went as well as the winner when running second at Te Rapa, and I will be all over it next time, as they have big raps on the winner.
  2. Do not worry about the pram. But the good-looking Lady, now we are talking the same language, so long as it is not one of your throw-away Ladies😋. I have never been a fan of 2nd hand goods.
  3. Hindsight is a great thing, but surely he could have seen the 2 Waller horses inside of him and thought things had not gone as expected, so Plan B would be to get on to the back of the best horse in the race and ride for luck, That is what I would have expected from a jockey of some abilty to do.
  4. Give a clue to us battlers, what disguise got you past the security?
  5. I think most people who have some level of race reading would agree it was a 2 out of 10 ride, but the jockey has said he made a mistake. So i will let it go
  6. Not sure about that, Chief. Riders that started in the South and have done well include but are not limited to, Skelton's rode plenty of Group winners E J Didham, D Browne, Buffering, and lately D Stackhouse and J Kennedy and L Bates are doing very well over the ditch
  7. At least you do have a sense of humor, Chief. I am not sure what win it was, but it would have been around his 30th win. Also, I got asked to ride Little Brown Jug, but I had to ride a stablemate as well. Yes, the stablemate won and LBG got beaten. Funnily enough, I never got back on him either. Trainers must have been harder to please back in the day, or Joe Pride is a forgiving human being.😀
  8. Yes agree Gamma, i have no issue with losing a bet, but in my opinion, not only was it a bad ride but also i believe it got a gut-buster race, and when it is the start of the Spring or G1 racing it is important to remember there will be other opportunities in the near future so i would have been happy to ride for luck and see what unfolded and have a horse next time.
  9. Chief ,Prior to straightening up James comes off the fence, and Jason goes up on James inside, have another look, if Chad had waited on James to make his move and get a drag up, he didn',t and he has admitted his mistake,so happy to leave there. On this note, I slaughtered Grey Way one day. I put my hand up and told Pat Corboy i was to blame, and his response was i will call you don't call me,I did win one on him prior.
  10. Bill read what you reported. He said he made a mistake, and I will give him credit for that. At the end of the day, a better plan B after missing the start would have been to follow the favourite and a 10-time G1 winner, and would have been the right call; that is what I would expect if I were either the Owner or the Trainer
  11. I went looking at what Ron Dufficy had to say about the ride, if anything. I found this on Racenet, It was a bit of a horror show for Ceolwolf from the start. He was a little bit slow away and settled much further back than expected, and then shoved right out wide in a place NOT to be on the turn. His effort was ENORMOUS considering the circumstances. On that, i will rest my case. Thank you, Linesmen and Ball Boys.
  12. Gamma, with respect to you, may i suggest you stick with Harness tipping? I was bagging the ride, not the first up statistics. In my opinion, it was a shocking ride and I only backed it to place, and I have no doubt that with half a run it would have placed, which i wanted. I have no problem with getting beaten, but i do hate a poor ride and this was a poor ride in a G1 was not worthy of a riding fee, other than he didn't fall off.
  13. Sorry, Chief, could you put the race up? I can go through the pain again, i think
  14. I am talking through my pocket here, but I do feel justified. I had a large place bet on a horse named Ceolwulf, and of course, it ran 4th. I will challenge anyone who watched the race and tells me it was not a shocker of a ride by Chad Schofield. He is following Via Sistina and Arapaho, who were traveling well, then Chad, instead of following the favourite decided to make his move if 3 wide, then 4 wide, then 13 wide, and finishes 2.5 lengths from Via Sistina which he should have just followed instead of having a brain explosion. There was no basis on or off the fence as in the previous race. The Autumn Glow came from well back and one width off the fence. So after this bulls**t i did something I never do and put $100 on the Warriors to win at $1 .70 and got a result and after golf, a mate or he was a mate, told me the Roosters cannot lose at $1.35, but i noticed they were paying a $1.50 for Halt Time and Full time so on goes $170 at $1.50 and they won neither half. Does anyone know what price Mitre Ten or Bunnings charges for 1m of rope? I will take the cheapest option thanks Chief, can you tell me if you have any Aussie viewers that post, as I would like to know what the Aussie people, like Ron Dufficy etc, were saying?
  15. Ross may improve his golf handicap now with the spare time he will have. The recently retired Ivan Bridge, Ross's golf partner may also get his golf score, not to look like a score that a cricket player would love. Both are top blokes and they do enjoy their efforts to master the game of golf at Clarks Beach
