  1. rangatira, im not interested in silly childish comments like this
  2. yup as i suspected. pleasure discussing harness with you brodie. maybe next time you can be a bit more mature in the discussion.
  3. sorry i dont know what you mean with your statement?
  4. yes, i did see this. but this is not a welt, if it was a welt, it would be described by the jca as a welt. secondly, with the sweat from the horse, and the agressive use of the whip on the horse by rider, no doubt this would have left "whip marks" on the horse. but welts, which is is basically causing a form of scaring on the horse, was not the case here. you are twisting words to suit you own agenda. i could hit you you with a a padded whip, this might leave an inflamed mark. if it hit you with a stock whip, this would leave a welt. in the context of what happened here, it is not a welt. i do not believe with padded whips, you could leave welt marks on a horse.
  5. i think this post says alot about you. i am disagreeing with you, but you want to resort to name calling? are you 12? quite pathetic. i just joined here to join discussions around racing, not everyone has to agree. i am a racing enthusiast, im sure like you, i use to help train, was an owner, and a punter, so i believe i have some knowledge and can add to intelligent discussion. if the chief is not happy with me joining in he discussion then no worries, ill leave but i thought thats what this site was for, for racing folk to engage, discuss and debate, am i wrong?
  6. i did, i read the report, unless i missed it, i didnt see any reference to there being welt marks. can you please copy and paste from the report were that is mentioned? very familiar with JCA no need for insults.
  7. thats ok, i would be concerned if you cared about what i would think of you,. no, im a new member, and i am also a member of racecafe too, however i have no beef or trouble with anyone. i had a lovely weekend thanks, i certainly made the most of it. i have a young son that is learning to ride, he is asking me if he can take the horse to jump over the fence, my son is not even 5 yet. im only saying this as im still very very proud. i certainly will, you should try doing the same
  8. were i the evidence of the horse having welts?
  9. but this is a diffent site, with different people. its just very rich of you to criticize someone putting their neck on the line with their selections, but you dont have the balls to do the same. makes you look rather stupid, your doing a very good job of that, however it is very ammusing.
  10. couldnt agree with you more.
  11. i see a horse called light in the night, or a name similar to this, won at addington a few weeks ago, aged 13. the horse managed a second, might have been a weak field, but still managed second, so yes, in the right race, with manners ofcourse it could win a race. that is without question. but who are you to say or suggest what the owners should do, you do not pay their bills, so you have no right to criticize them
  12. cant wait to see how Lucia does as a broodmare. what a lovely photo
  13. you would give yourself much more credit, if you could actually put forward atleast one of your tips pre race. I have been following your posts on this site (because its great entertainment) (and you must be just taking the piss) ts just a lil rich for you to discredit someones formulas when the person your discrediting has had the balls to put pre race their selections, were as you dont
  14. maybe the horse should be stood down, i dont disagree. but i disagree with your comments about the owners. to be an owner, you need to have quite a lot of money now, and money you dont expect to get back. the same argument about why owners persist with this horse, could be applied to many other horses. at the end of the day however it is their perogative, and who is anyone to question why they persist, if anything, they should be applauded for carrying on, and hoping and trying. i know from experience, being an owner in this game is very hard, and possibly they are the most hard done by. stakes have been stagnant for years, decades, and you get almost no return. without owners, there would be no horses to punt on, or no game to run. they should be looked after much better.
  15. how do you know most punters hate them? what evidence do you have on this? i personally enjoy them, and i do punt. and infact, as a punter, i find it generally easier to make money off mile racing. there are less variables or unknowns in mile racing in general that one would have to take into consideration generally
  16. i didnt see the race, and he might break alot, but there are plenty that break a lot. Who are you to say the owners have rocks in their heads, they are the ones paying to keep the hose going, and the industry needs all the owners it can possibly get. for those that punt, they know fine well they are taking a huge risk. so it hardly affects them.
  17. has to be one of the better performances i have seen from Ruakaka, got a slap on the bum once, still looked a bit lost, but smashed them and rounded them up so quickly. And to think, when she learns her ring craft, and gets up over a bit more ground, this girl could be anything. one which i will be following very closely
