I think she was fined $1500 from memory, so a serious offence definitely. At least you know she was trying. I don’t think the whip makes a horse run faster, just keeps them going. On days gone past, I would say P Wolfenden & R Cameron were a couple of the best whip drivers I’ve seen.

Kerryn had a GoPro on her that day, just stepped and never saw another horse. Trackside just couldn’t show from the 250m, Animal Rights activists would have had a field day. I think it would be a close run thing with Jim O’Sullivan’s effort in the 1987 Interdominion Final with My Lightning Blue.

Agree Brodie Plugs out and your horse up on the bit before you pull, makes a world of difference, got taught that as a youngster.

Hi Happy I think the late , great Maurice Holmes once said “ I only ever took one certainly to the races....and it got beat”. So anything can happen. The only way to lose a race is not turn up, been demonstrated many times. Just recently Vincent lost a tyre in the Derby when hotpot in Aussie. We wouldn’t have racing if everyone stayed at home. Hi Gammalite, you Aussie. Ive just signed up because I saw your above comment, you’re obviously a younger whipper snapper. IMHO, Lord Module at his best would have been competitive anywhere in the world, at anytime. He had speed to burn, one of those excitement machines that we use to travel to the track to see( think Paleface Adios or Popular Alm). My two cents worth. Good comp. Cheers
