  1. “You’re dreaming Jonesy” You're not Australian by any chance Brodie? No surprises there.
  2. Agree with all the above, CJ been doing it for a long time and you always have a horse for next week, important in this game. Nice to see him & Julie get a good one. I thought you might of had a go about MP’s handling of Chambray in R5 the galah. How he got away with that one, he’s a magician. If he was checked at the 400m, as per the Stipes report, who checked him and who was culpable? Cleary ran over the top of the helmet in front of him trying to recoup the half length he lost when the winner pulled in front of him. But what would I know, just my humble opinion.
  3. I’m picking you won’t be backing it with Mac up? 😎. I’m no punter at all so have a different perspective to yourself but we can probably agree that that filly is not far away from getting another one.
  4. Maybe, just some. I would’ve put that horse at Cambridge in my little black book, noting never got a run, nothing activated, rather than advertise the fact to all on social media.
  5. Thank you for that own goal. Course he knows what he is doing. The perception for the average punter is that horses are motor cars. Here’s a tip. All horses look good chasing. When you have to get up and go around, well, not a lot can do it. Mac has always driven horses for speed, he’s an expert at it. Maybe you should leave him out of your combinations if you don’t like the way he drives, problem solved. He’ll still keep winning 1 in every 6 drives on average.
  6. I would suggest that M Mc has driven this way all his life. Like I said, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I wouldn’t mind him driving my horse.
  7. Agree Chief When those commenting have driven over 3000 winners , with a UDR of over .2, might start listening to them, although everyone entitled to there opinions.
  8. I like the idea of mobile starts, maybe with preferential draws , with ‘worse’ draws given to the winners of those races.
  9. Off topic I know Gamma but can you believe that Jumbo Visma team? You hope that in ten years time that they find they weren’t turning those wheels with some go fast in their legs. All of them are incredible, especially to leave Pogacar in their wake. See they are sponsored by The Dutch lottery, guess you can do a lot with that sort of $
  10. Love your work Gamma A+ Good nights racing, no one having a quiet one there, speed on all the way. Do you know what the crowd was like? Did it bring them out?
  11. Wasn’t a bad looking dude, wasn’t he. Tough as nails with it.
  12. Does the Yellow Jersey winner win anything? Am I breathing it? Maybe bragging rights. C’mon Better Eclipse!
  13. Jeff, his old man, would be one proud Dad 👌
  14. To Davis(1): Just make sure you park Gammalite(5)out when he comes calling, I’m right behind you 👍
  15. Brodie has broken one of the golden rules of horses… never condemn them till they’re in the ground.
  16. And to Davis(# 1), show a bit of ticker son, don’t want any old scrubber beating you out of the gate, I’ll be right up your chuff.
  17. Okay Gamma Through me in selections, I’ll take the # 8 all night , shortest way home, driving for luck, cheers 👌
  18. The best ever, well before his time
  19. Q4/ Stormy Morn had a very long career. saw him winmany for Tony Perucich in the north, after starting outsouth. Tony Perucich one of the good guys, started down here in Canterbury, Rangiora, next to the racecourse.Use to be a jockey. He had good 2yr old in Trio, who just happened to be born in Lord Module’s year. Gave a young enthusiast his first steer😁
  20. Can't really remember that race, I'm guessing he may of got stirred up behind the mobile like he could do. Real Force had been going good races as I remember and probably deserved it. The first time Peter Jones ever sat behind Sundon was his winning Dominion . Sir Roy McKenzie rang him up to see if he could drive him, he said yes but does Fred know? Sir Roy said he'll tell him, I think Fred got suspended anyway for giving him a quiet one on Cup Day. The Dominion comes and P Jones wondered what he has struck, Sundon grabbed the bit in the prelim and took off and it took all of P Jones's skill to get him back to him(he was actually down to his last resort and just yelled "WHOA"). Around at the start he grabbed the bit again, P Jones headed him towards the outside fence, Sundon was blind to it( all the horsemen here will know what I mean), and clocked himself a real beaut on a concrete post. Sundon from that point walks around like a lamb, lines up like a toff, steps brilliantly to lead after a quarter, waltz's around on two threads of cotton and wins easily. P Jones maintains the clock on the head certainly didn't hurt his chances.
  21. Q6. Sir Castleton, must have them all covered now 😎
  22. Q9 . Sundon's Gift NZ born & raised, only won one race in NZ, but it was a goody, Rowe Cup
  23. Q.4 Stormy Morn Remember when Trevor Thomas trained him at Ces Donald's old place in Belfast
  24. If(haha) Sundon makes the cut, I’ve got an insider story on his Dominion win… but till then, my lips are sealed.
