‘‘Twas sitting in the Old Steward stand just after winning post, unfolded right in front of us, all rushed down trying to help, was horrendous. Robert Mitchell , Paleface Tryax, grabbed one and held it it for awhile, then had to let it go as the rein kept slipping through his hand, great piece of horsemanship. They said Naval Officer was a lucky Derby winner, so Mike DeFilipi to prove a point, came out in that horses very next race , let him run, and won by 14 lengths as I recall!

Well I think a cash injection of 100-150 million at a guess would be good for all three codes, harness would get a share of that. We are small fish compared to the Aussies, and are starting from a low base, so any increase would be expotential in comparision. The Galah, have we an alternative? Murphy blind are excellent at keeping a horses head straight if fitted right, see so many fitted wrong.If you block the forward vision of one eye, horse has to turn its head to see in front of them. Hole is so that they can see what’s beside them, and stops getting them keen. Just another tool in the arsenal and have there place, probably used a little less here because we race a lot closer than the USA.
