and if you're not convinced go back and have a look at the replay of the race (16 June, Race 1 at Te Awamutu). The commentator called it Super Geegee the whole way.
-
No I saw the pre race discussion in question and the commentator clearly said "Super Geegee". That's what Peter was referring to.
-
And how do you explain "Sleepy" being pronounced "Super"? Perhaps he is not wrong after all!?
-
Mark or Barry?

It was a pretty cheap shot Jason. I don't think you should feel that you have to justify your decision to take your Punters Club elsewhere. The thing that gets me is that the guy who runs this site showed no loyalty to the people who ran comps on his site, yet he is very protective of the person who triggered the fiasco that saw all of the comp organisers go to greener pastures.

He's a gunna. Molloy used to call Kawi a poofter and a cheat (or something along those lines). Could describe Felaar that way - certainly the day he got beaten at Wellington Cup carnival. Of course the difference between the two horses is that Kawi won multiple Group 1 races
-
What a twat Molloy is - has made a right fool of himself with that story. Why didn't he just accept the feedback for what it was and leave it at that - can't help himself. I guess he works on the basis that any publicity is good publicity. He also needs to work on his repertoire of jokes/retorts - the one about your parents should have used a condom gets rolled out quite a bit as does the one about having had quite a few wives (some of them his own).
-
Yeah that site is lacking the quality threads that we're seeing on here - especially the one about races being on two Trackside channels at the same time - riveting stuff
-
You posted 4 minutes after Pete! Did it take you 4 minutes to type the last line? I would have thought once you'd typed "doo" once (or twice) you wouldn't have to google how to spell it again!? ?

Looks like you might have spotted a good one. Won in 54.89 yesterday with something in hand. https://www.scmp.com/sport/racing/article/3007188/voyage-warrior-can-be-next-sacred-kingdom-ricky-yiu

Hey Weasel, are you referring to TC here? Just to re-iterate something I posted above - TC has committed to finish this Super Comp. Appears to me that he has the utmost respect for PJ and almost all other Super Comp contestants.
-
Hear hear. Imagine if you were a captain in one of PJ's draft comps and your first round pick was the 4th pick in the draft. Crucial that you make good use of your first pick and with so many strong players still to pick from. Imagine if you made your choice, feeling like you'd picked the right person, only to have them withdraw from the comp after a couple of rounds. So instead of having one of the other top round picks (who committed to the comp), you end up with the 41st selection. I certainly agree that wouldn't be fair on your team, the opposition and PJ, and it certainly wouldn't be fair on your captain.

John has told me that he will send his selections and TC's selections through to me to post for this weekend (and next weekend if required). They love PJ's comps far too much to not see this particular comp through. They also have way too much respect for PJ to leave part way through a competition. They of course have no respect whatsoever for several other people on this thread/forum. Looking forward to the semi-finals this weekend.

Well done Chief - looks like you've lost a couple of deadbeats like TC and John but you've got reputable characters like Mk2 and Thomass on your side - you must be doing something right.
-
No, you can try to distort the facts as much as you like but Steve P's post and VC's post spell it out pretty clearly for all to see. You should just admit it - I reckon people would respect you more if you did. Just my opinion. Cheers.
-
Well said Steve. Not a bad bloke for a City supporter - good luck tomorrow. I figure you can have tomorrow's game and let Spurs have the game at the weekend Farewell TC & John - fully understand your decision - all the best - YNWA!
-
Don't really agree - he once called a race where he called the horse that won the race (Galloping Gerte) in fifth place across the line. That takes some doing!

Check out the replay and the commentary on the last race at Avondale today. I had a final field Top 3 bet on Not Usual Heaven and listened to the race on Radio Trackside. Bruce Sherwin called it home 3rd - not a photo, not a close finish - categorically 3rd. Fantastic!! Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I went to TAB to collect and SST tells me bet is not winner. Relegated perhaps?? No not at all - watched the replay just now and it wasn't even close - possibly half a length behind the 3rd horse. Forget the big crescendo on the winner Bruce - just call the first four in finishing order for those people who are not watching.
-
TAB had a bunch of commingling issues this afternoon, but what I can't understand is why final field payouts were delayed? I can understand tote dividends being delayed because they are clearly impacted by commingled pools, but final field prices are fixed? I suspect TAB will say they can't result Fixed odds bets separate from tote bets but they just invested all that money in a new platform to improve fixed odds betting. Remember the good old days where they could do partial payouts where a race result was under an enquiry?

or is anyone else having the same problem? I have lots of them, but the one I have in mind ... When I try to go to the most recent page in a conversation thread, it defaults to the first page of the conversation and I then have to click again to get to the latest page. Pretty sure I used to be able to go straight to most recent page. Not as annoying as that stupid Bula Vinaka pop-up at the bottom of the other site, and certainly not life shattering, but a tiny bit frustrating nonetheless

That's some pretty nasty and unnecessary stuff in that post. Wonder if he said that to Al's face when he had to "endure" him?
