    I used to have abit of hope/belief in your comments CHIEF STIPE,until your last comment about Kate,she is the only one who has ridden amongst us&against us,in my view Kate does a better job of unpaid training the apprentices as well, plus she is the only one willing to speak on camera......why do you not respect her knowledge&experience?

    Ok,lets back track a few years,like back to FIRM,EASY,SOFT,HEAVY days,what is the general opinion on Trentham the other day,if we had to rate it using only those old school terms?

    Easier for a Steward to abandon the day,than deal with any H&S stuff, bet they get paid the same dollars for a short day as what they would for a full days racing.

    Riverton should be the outright winner ,if Waverley isn't in the mix. Can anyone name any other Club that HASN'T had major money spent on it,but continues to have an awesome raceday surface plus an awesome crowd? Their Easter 3 Day Meeting was a highlight of my childhood.

    Do they(the jockeys) get compensated for abandonments-travel,lost riding fees etc

    Look after the grass roots guys , many of us don't have the horsepower to target major meetings anymore, so stakes spread across the board would be more beneficial to helping us survive, after all, we are the trainers &track riders that have propped up &supported the overseas market for a very long time,

    Jockeys wearing raceday spurs. Which countries allow this&why are the NZ flat jockeys not allowed them&why isnt our whip rule the same as Oz?

    No transfers to Woodville? Why? Surely an unused course proper that used to have hundreds of horses during trackwork on a weekly basis,is good enough. If not,why not?

    I trust that all trials&gallops have been over the crossing/grass/synthetic/grass area of the Awapuni track,if not,then how can it be deemed as safe to run races on???

    While I totally agree with you,imagine my pain when a well known stock whip welding thoroughbred trainer/pony club instructor,got awarded a Queens Award way back in the 1990s....he would be imprisoned nowadays.
