  1. Oh how interesting. Thank you sharing the gossip tehe. Its not malicious nor defamatory. He either has or he hasn't. We wait & see I guess. You can post anytime with your inside word tehe. Have a great day Bazz.
  2. Thanks for the info. I have no plans this weekend, hence swanning around most of the day on BOAY. Altho I plan to watch Troy the Fall of the City later on Netflix lol. No lucky going to Sounds for me. Altho Id love to go 1 day. Ok so what you hear, he still starter for clubs that want him BUT he has resigned from RIU/Stewards? Is that what you mean? And 23rd Dec or Jan? A bit confused. Thanks again for keeping us informed. Even if it is a little bit muddled, thats why its good to follow - up 😁 PS yes I think some hopes be dashed.
  3. No rest for five win Williams 16 January 2021 By Dave Di Somma, Harness News Desk Even after bagging five winners at Blenheim yesterday there was no big celebration for Tim Williams. Instead he jumped in a car and headed four hours south to Christchurch. “Saturday’s always a big day for fast work …. And we fast worked four this morning.” After completing his commitments for trainer Hayden Cullen, now that he’s taken over the All Stars operation from Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen, it was back on the road this afternoon for Williams for the second day of the Marlborough Harness Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow. As for yesterday, he says he knew he had a good book of drives – “I thought I could get a couple of wins, but some had tricky draws and you never know on the grass track, but I was lucky enough to get five and it was a dream day at the office.” The day started perfectly alright with two wins for trainer Paul Kerr (Greenbank Betty and Duffy Hollow) and then Ashes To Ashes won race 6, Peraki Seelster race 7 and I Dream Of Jeannie took out the last, at 18-to-one, despite galloping over the line. “That was an unusual win but the rules are there, it was a bit different to win like that but we got the chocolates so that was good.” One of the country’s premier drivers, Williams has had 542 winners since his first in 2008, though yesterday’s “fifer” is not his best result. At Winton on October 19 2014 he won six races, with Margarita, Fly Like An Eagle, Rockahula Arden, Ode To Success, Oneover and Dark Dana. That day there were only nine races held, with the three other winners all going to Nathan Williamson. There have been a slew of big race successes as well, with Williams a critical part of the All Stars operation and associated with the very best horses – the likes of Have Faith In Me, Dream About Me, Lazarus and Piccadilly Princess. He’s unsure how Purdon and Rasmussen’s decision to take a year’s break from full-time training will impact on him. “It’s a bit of the unknown, but if I get the chance to drive the very good ones, the Self Assureds I’d be keen.” Williams was third in the 2020 New Zealand Cup with Ashley Locaz, completing an All Stars trifecta with Self Assured and Spankem. It was his second third placing in the big race, with Dream About Me third in the 2018 edition won by stablemate Thefixer. Just how things pan out under Hayden Cullen’s tenure remains to be seen, with Williams’ immediate focus on seven drives at Blenheim tomorrow, including three first-day winners who will back up (Greenback Betty, Duffy Hollow and Peraki Seelster). “I just hope I haven’t used up all my good luck.”
  4. Was wondering what this lapped on thing was. Ok got it. I see the subject has moved on from the original lol. Oh well all good. Something to chat about anyway 😊
  5. Did some Karrot research - here is what I found 😁 Ok so Argyle came in at 5th highest. Below are those $200k + 1. = Toro Stride $280,000 Trotter 1. = Moet Shard $280,000 3. Master Stride $250,000 4. Five Bangles $220,000 5. Argyle $210,000 6. Ultimate Missile $210,000 7. Next To Me $200,000 8. Bollinger $200,000 That seems like a good buy for Sugar Apple, thinking what both and only siblings to the races have done.
  6. I'm not sure what you mean ... like chain ... ? or I am way off. Thinking about that would he not be the 1st in line to get the 1st right of refusal or top pick drives for Cullen? Which would that not mean theoretically if the case, his wins would go up further based on more drives and getting the top pick from stable. Of course we still have to see if the level of performance stays the same or not.
  7. Ok. Im going to watch the replays soon. Just got some errands to do. Good spotting Eljay re Argyle, Im not sure but can check and confirm. Actually thats what we could do. Take a look at the prices of some of these horse from yearling sales 2020.
  8. Is this a driver on fire or what? He drove 5 winners yesterday as per results. Taking a look at these stats he holds 3rd spot. But would he actually be the top NZ driver if he drove the same/similar amount as the current top driver? Thoughts people? Starts Wins 2nd 3rd Stake UDR Blair Orange 645 106 81 71 1,148,426 0.2708 John Dunn 410 63 47 40 882,151 0.2499 Tim Williams 253 47 23 29 784,819 0.2745
  9. Hi galloping people, Yes that is my observation too. I am awaiting his reply to a negative subject he started yesterday on a trainer on harness chat called Sean M. He has a long list of drivers and trainers that needs improving like this.
  10. Hey Brods, Well, checked out the workout/trial that he was in Winton today, & he put in a dirty break behind the mobile. I was even at a point of maybe having a fun bet $1 on him & also have a bet with MikeyNZ that he would win 1 when conditions suit. My biggest concern as I said in all 3 races I had seen, he had galloped. So no, all bets are off, & I am in your corner now. In sense that, I just couldn't trust him that he won't break. Maybe now he has the ability to win, but I couldn't risk it. Too many times. Its like its in his head or something that breaking is an ok thing to do. In race previous I saw the horse hit the helmet as stated so bang, but could not say for sure if did or did not indeed hit the wheel in-front. Irrelevant to me now if he did or didn't. Made mind up. All bets are off for Spitty. Can't trust him. Shame.
  11. Ok great Chief is in. Here is something I think could be realistic. I know there are some people on here with direct contacts to Cambridge. If someone could please pass on this message to the CEO. You know the 1 that I said in my very first post on Cambridge thread, that he seems on-to-it. (If interested to please get in touch with Chief). Jewels Day at Cambridge - a competition on here. We could help drive conversation for it with our selections a week out. Conversation leads to excitement and potentially more people tuning in & betting. Have 2 prizes, 1 for winner of comp, eg $200 free win bet & also have a $100 free bet win, which would be a random draw out of everyone that participated. Points are added up for all races, bar the last. The last race is the race, the winning free bets must be used. Cambridge, even tho they are giving away cash, it is going directly back into TAB so will be counted towards their turnover for day. They also get the drive and talk on here leading up to the event. We get to have our comp with an added bonus a prize to compete for. Cambridge would go ahead & place the bet on the 2 picks from our winners, which would already be written down on here under that posters selections. If any of those 2 bets win, then it is up to Cambridge to direct deposit into the allocated bank info given by the poster with their winnings. That keeps it anonymous. Any other comps we have can just be for fun, practice leading up to the big dance. Ashburton lost the Jewels. Will Cambridge take an opportunity presented to them, that will be cost effective & help towards their biggest day?
  12. Hehe Karrots beat the King in this weeks comp 😉 Total points including Ashburton 😉 Why don't you run the next comp 😄 Select a meeting in next 7-14 days. Try to drum up interest to join, harp on at Chief for prizes, chose how you want to do it, if its points based or div based. Give people enough notice to make their selections. I usually give 2-3 days notice. I also try to pick a meeting that I know will garner a lot of attention anyway. Then add up points at end of comp after racing and create a thread on the Harness Selections page 😄
  13. I don't even know how I won & multiples times. How that happened, Im not sure. I need to hold my crown for bit longer. And think of a strategy to hold crown for as long as possible. We could bug Chief for prizes for BOAY that better plan 😉 In meantime me like
  14. Nice the Sounds, lucky. Fantastic, yes please Bazz, the inside word if any. We wait 😄
  15. Whippy 😄, you doing a Mikie (who has sadly gone MIA - and Gamms), do the comp & racing already started or close to start lol. Karrots enjoying the throne atm like dis.
  16. Well look out the early 2 y-os are stepping out in North today & tomorrow trials/workouts. Auckland 26 pacers, 2 trotters Cambridge 1 pacer. Total 29 Karrots watching watching 👀

Dis you and me, You Cross Codes providing me with your list of trainers & drivers, that need to improve lol. Me thinking thats a lot I need to look at & assess.
  18. Thanks Brods this the evidence I needed. Case closed. This clearly illustrates the suspect on hands & knees mimicking being a horse by role play. It appears waiting for the real horses to run past before staging practice for future role as trojan horse. This attack on BOAY has been imminent. (Officer Bun Hops at your service)
  19. No more him in our selections game. I need all da glory to myself. See goes like this 1st Camb selections game who wins, Teaz wins, who 2nd Karrots. Next Camb comp who wins BOAY Karrots 1st equal with Milo & Roman, no Teaz entered, oh wait I think other expert won that too Knight. 3rd Camb who wins expert Teaz, but 1st BOAY Karrots. See what I mean. I share the glory. No more share. Bahahahaha.
  20. Wait, I am the winner - oh nice, nice Karrots 😁 Expert Teaz man 8 out of 10 winners. Lets not compare with him again, he blew us all out of the water. Brief bragging right for Karrots be like
  21. #sharp
  22. Well done, North Jnrs, I didn't see any Kamikazi driving & 3 of the first 4 home, come off the 2nd row. It's tricky when fields are over 10 at Camb.
  23. And Demolition Man he do the head bop, like dis, when he finally picked up that elusive win 😁
  24. Oh I get it now, Karrots was a bit slow with that 1. Speedy was my fav, as he stuck neck out (cutie, cutie). Like dis but with neck 😁
  25. And Griffins Hall is a 1/2 to Majestic Man. Is it true Gamms or typo? Brodie made selections? I cant see them. Yes Whiplash be on alright 😁
