I think the horses have more personality than some of our trackside interviewers, and they certainly won't ask such riveting questions as " How do you feel?"
Excellent idea. Take the meetings to where the crowds will be. Central Otago at this time of year is humming. Well done to those who made the decision.
Just a wee comment to say how much I appreciate his harness calls from down south. He appears to have a good knowledge of trials and workouts, and he gives a good picture of what's happening in the race. Without hysterical finishes and mentions of the chief or the iceman.
The issue that bothers me. All this time and money gets spent on tracks, but within the first two weeks, there are problems and there are meetings like Hastings getting abandoned, and talk of transferring Ellereslie.. it doesn't stop.
