Brodie is ridiculous with his thoughts, purdons have a select group of owners, most been with the stable for many years, in fact some where even owners with Roy. Just because they purchase more horses, and spend more than others, why is that a problem? Why, well because they deliver the results!! Ive had mates, who couldn’t even get a horse into the stable!!

What do people dislike about the jewels? The format of day, distance or the dominant stable? You know, if someone said 20 years ago, that we could have a days racing, for all ages, over the mile, and every race for big money, we would welcome it. I just wonder why people are down on it?

It’s not thou, How many times do we see positives after race swabbing, then trainers dream up all sorts of excuses after the shit hits the fan. When have we had a trainer say BEFORE a big race- I think we should contact authorities as I’m not sure if that food is contaminated ? Never, would rather see if it wins,collect off tote, worth trying to get away with it. Sorry, but when big money is up, all 3 codes out to win, some at all cost. Bit different Happy, Purdons have stated could be an issue several days out, which could be a food issue. Dunns & Dalgety, only comes up after tests come back positive. So hardly same. Purdons got a lot to lose here, could be several scratchings for big day, good on them for bringing it to hrnz, BEFORE RACING!! Certainly makes a change

Lisa Cropp, very sad how her riding career ended. Even more sad, Leeane Isherwood ? Thought she was the hottest jockey ever when she started riding, but the pictures of her a year or so after, just showed what that drug is capable of doing. 2 great jockeys, yet drugs beat them both. Very sad. Didnt they both make a comeback at some stage? Not sure.

Thought first race interesting. Fav here could easily get rolled, especially with Aussie drawn 1. Best lay of day for me. Could see seaswift joy leading all way in r4, and habiti Inta a big chance to beat enghien r5.
