Curious don't post pictures like this - a winter scene like that is almost enough to make Helga move there and take up training again ?

another factor that makes the winter tracks here look bad is the weight horses have to carry - ie highweights now start at 66kg ( Taranaki Race 1 today ) they used to start at 57kg or 9 stone. The days of starting a winter stayer with 52 or 53kg are long gone.

Ashley - be very wary as the 'Big Island Hawaii has blown it's top and had a 6.9 earthquake, might not be the right time for travel. Also with the big airbag recalls it might not be the right time to buy new cars so I guess your only other option is the horse. ?
