Probably would have but he would have got a drag into the race on Imperatriz's back and given his horse a softer run. That race wasn't his Everest. 1 hour ago, Freda said: Having a jockey as a partner for twenty years, I am only too aware of what can go wrong, or at least not according to plan....and people, even rich arrogant ones, must realise that horses are not bicycles. Williams admitted he stuffed up and his decision was hardly split second. Williams rode Giga Kick like he was a Ducati and not a bicycle. As for when the horse injured itself it could just as easily been when it put in that very fast sectional. It was a bad ride and Williams deserved a serve. He had an excuse in missing the jump and could still have ridden to instructions. Don't forget no matter how arrogant the owner is they still pay the bills be the billionaires or poorer (mostly poorer). BTW a Racing Manager had a bigger role than just representing the owners. They are a conduit between all parties involved in getting what is best for the horse particularly at the elite level.
