Well, another meeting off today, why because it’s raining 😆😆😊😆

You can understand recently the wind issues, that is a H& S issue. But FFS, it’s only rain? Shame on trainers that have wet trackers, never get to race on them

Surface flooding, tie ups inundated,  no brainer surely?

Obviously poor racecourse management and maintenance, travelled thru Ashburton today bugger all surface water.

One of the tracks that is very well managed.

Facilities tired and old, but that is beyond the current administration to deal with.

15mm in last 24hrs 😆😆🤫

Place called Cropp River way up behind Hoki got 600ml one day back in the 80's then the next day it got another 600ml and the day after than another 600ml.  That is an inch of rain an hour for three days!

Now that is precipitation.

Yep, coast racing would have gone ahead yesterday. It was a nonsense decision

Well here is a tip…. Those in the Ashburton committee… forget ya lattes this morning, dig a few holes in places it flooded and get some basic drainage in, it’s simple.

If the above rainfall measure is correct, it certainly seems very odd that it was enough to create surface flooding on that track and also flood all the facilities.

Yep, was correct. Several people I know in Ashburton have rain meter, all said around same reading.

Doesn't seem to have been any thought given to moving the meeting to the AWT, or even, perish the thought, Timaru. Both tracks only an hour away in either direction.

It's all very confusing. Important pre-cup week trial meeting evaporated as well. Could surely have been shifted to Rangiora say?

Jeez, C,  ya don't get it.  NZTR have withdrawn Rangiora's licence to run races and trials, it just ain't gonna happen.

Perfect solution, of course.   Yet another own goal by our industry.
