Having his 428th start tonight which won’t be a record but surely it is for age?? You just wonder how it is possible for a horse who is a geriatric is still able to keep the legs pumping after the thousands of miles he would’ve run? Has there been an older pacing horse ever raced? Doubt ever In NZ but I am sure Gammalite will know in Oz? 1 Quote

Taupiri Wonder Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 After Winning 5 Races as a 13yo,grand old campaigner PERIGO Won 2 Races as a 14yo during the 2011/12 Season. I saw him salute at Alex Park when winning for the final time as a rising 15yo. It was notable that his final 6 victories came after being claimed as a veteran trotter. 2 Quote
