Newmarket
Seems owners have been told they should sell? I just wonder if something is wrong with horse, has lost all its finishing speed, or maybe its reached its peak. Was gelded, did have injury, but doesnt look like it wants to race anymore. What price for this horse, $60k plus has been mentioned, but dont you think connections should try different trainer as last resort, had had very few starts. So, whats it worth? Driver and trainer informed owners after race on monday. Seems bizzare, i would send to nth island, or at least change trainers.
Kakama
$60k would seem a bargain. Surprised trainer, driver suggested to sell. In a tough grade....but would go well in Aussie. Surely if sold.....this would be first derby winner to be sold in nz? Or maybe likemesiah?

Yup horribly out of form.... 10 runners last weekend. 3 winners, two seconds and a third. Only two of the 10 missed the call.

Newmarket
I cant fathom why any trainer would send rakapuka ruler to kaikoura. Nothing it has done this year points to an improved performance. Maybe they just want someone to share float fee?

I tend to agree....seems well below what he used to be.Far better field Monday than ashburton, sure he starts off front....but with so many purdon runners....he will get back on fence, same last race. Spankem huge in that race, could surprise kai cup
