Yearlings sell for what some party is prepared to pay.The dam is hardly the only factor.Surely you as a self confessed 'player' understand this!🙄

So the TA crew would likely have been considerably better off keeping her and breeding her to WB instead of selling her, I mean in the long run. 

Amazing the swings and roundabouts in racing you sell a mare to a stud by their Sire for $4.1m then end up buying her first yearling for $2.1m oh the irony of it all!

The TA stable or stud didn't own her.  The Syndicate did and the rule of the Syndicate is that she is sold at Auction at the end of her career.  You only have to look at the differences of opinion on BOAY to understand its a great rule!
