Chief Stipe
How does @Archie Butterfly aka Peter Profit get away with this garbage?
Chief Stipe
FFS they've got heavy winter covers on and neither of the two horses look malnourished. Compared to a lot of broodmares or retired geldings they're in luxury!! The weather doesn't seem to worry the Kaimamawa Brumbies! They do it tougher than the Blue Mountain ones!
Westview
For at least the last ten years that I have been going to Woodend I have never seen a horse go out without a cover on , winter to keep them warm and dry , summer to keep the sun off with light weight covers.HRNZ visit all Stables regularly, next time you are at any race meeting go and have a close look at their horse's then go find profit and smack him in the nose for publishing utter crap. 1
Chief Stipe
I bet he doesn't complain when it's blowing an Antarctic southerly at Addington and a chill factor of minus 20! The most inhumane thing about it would be the fact the trainers and staff have to work the horses in minus 7 degree frosts. The horses get a warm water hose down whereas the staff go straight back out with another horse!!
curious
Agree. Warm winter covers, a pile of hay, mature wind shelter, 3 squares. Luxury compared to the majority of horses.
Rangatira
just a moment in time, most likely yesterday. 46 mil of rain in Hei Hei yesterday, no reason Woodend escaped. I am sure all is well today.
Gammalite
Long as we can remember Chief , that bloke has been sinking the boot into Dunn's for ever. Just a hater of harness racing. Wish we could send him back to NZ. He did get arrested here once for his ridiculous crusade against someone. Dunn's Diamond stable are NZ's leading trainers and know how to treat their horses well. I'm not a fan of Ben Yole in Tassie either , (because of the loaded races) . He was once Australia's leading trainer (most wins per year) He trained many 'Out of The Paddock ' in Tassies freezing conditions. But RSPCA inspected many times (from neighbour complaints) , and found the horses to be fed and rugged ok, and injuries were treated etc by all the young staff there doing the best they knew how'. So seems the Animal welfare is under control there and profit wrong again. (Ben Yole is currently warned Off along with brother Tim.) The drivers Mitchell and Nathan Ford also were charged for Match fixing driving Yole runners. somehow Mitch and Nathan are back driving though, so seem to have beaten the race fixing charges 🙄. bit of a surprise really) Horses currently race in Ben's Dad name now. Wayne Yole . but he only allowed to start maximum 4 horses per Race (new rule change) to stop all the fixing lol 🤣😂 instead of having the entire race field in 2 or 3 races every raceday . seems a good move lol.
IWMC
On 6/21/2024 at 3:35 PM, Newmarket said: He sat still all the way up straight. Forget what it lost at start, should give horse every chance of winning, which he didn’t. The margin was a nose, would have won with a whack or 2 Woodend Beach trainers have provided all six nominations for this Fridays FFA trot. Clearly a succesful training venue. Good luck
Brodie
Who on earth is this Peter Profit? Seriously needs to be taken down a peg or two for writing slanderous BS! You only need to look at the conditioning on any Dunn horse out on the track and they look magnificent anytime of year! Peter Profit give yourself an uppercut, you are an absolute Dickhead if you think the horses are treated poorly. pull your head in and you only need to watch Harness Racing Unhinged weekly videos to see how the Dunn stable horses are treated!
