Slightly off-topic are there that many good reasons for having 24hrs between Nominations and Acceptances for the run of the mill weekly races?  Why not go straight to Acceptance 24 hrs earlier than now.  Another day of analysis and possible wagering for the punter.

Perhaps there weren't any nominations and they are ringing round?  Or have quietly reopened them because they are moving Cup Week to Auckland?
