The obvious problem here is the his 'boss' Vacuous  Vlandys "the whip doesn't hurt" 'move on' narrative 

Besides the fact Racing Australia has the impossible task of obtaining consensus from disparate Ozzie states like SA's "bash the shit out of them" and Racing Vic's "we're trying to do the best for the industry"

Waller needs to practise what he preaches by instructing jockeys like JMackSmack to simply stop bashing horses from his stable, over 23 times up the straight in a recent G1 bashathon

However with Gen Z turning up in their 1000's at the Everest, obviously the future generation don't really give a shit about welfare and Waller's pissing into the wind??

Or did they turn up to drink piss and sing about Caroline sans horses?

Was going to back Chiefy's ''Captured By Love , but odds were way too short. Had every chance in the run too but only 3rd.

Maybe you can excuse my Naiveness, and answer me this 🙄 . Why does she have a BARRIER BLANKET ?   What good does that do ?  Can never work it out  .  is it to make them feel like they're at home with a rug on or something to relax ? (at a guess)

I think the idea is to lessen the feel of contact between the rump/flank areas and side of the gates which may upset some, though with the padded gates we have these days, I'm not sure they generally do much. The main benefit might be that with them on, they get to load last or late.
