Newmarket
Come on, enough is enough. What’s going on, gallops having all sorts of issues… harness have no issues? Otaki put back a race until some muppet delivers the Kodak…. 1
goldilocks
There is surely nothing else the North Island administration can think of to cock up a race meeting

Special Agent
Who is responsible for the photo finish gear? I'm imagining it maybe lives in the Trackside truck and travels from meeting to meeting, rather than go home with the judge who may not work at consecutive race meetings. Special Agent
The more that happens highlights the need for an overhaul of all systems. That's a good starting point for the new CEO. As all the errors seem to be mind numbingly simply fixed it begs the question of who employed the people who are making these mistakes and what qualifications do these employees have in the first place? Special Agent
Leaving the photo finish gear behind is almost like getting all your raceday gear ready the night before and then come morning forgetting to load the horse on the float.

As I've said many times before. If raceday control is handed over to the RIB Stewards on raceday morning why aren't they off their arses earlier than they are? Were they there to see the two horses gallop the track as per NZTR protocol? The RIB are the Quality Control arm of the industry however it is about time they dropped the suits and wore some Red Bands and tested all raceday systems including the track well before the first race! Lo and behold was upgraded to a Good 4 AFTER race 1. They wonder why punters have had enough let alone trainers! 2

Doomed
It's a bit ironic when you consider the likes of Gisborne and Waimate where largely scrapped because they were too hard to service. That leads you to assume tracks like Otaki are easy and inexpensive to service. Doesn't look good when the favoured tracks in the brave new world have problems like this.
