Sethito Just shows you how screwed the ratings are for age group horses. Leica Lucy rated 77 after winning 2 Group 3's and 1 Group 2.

The point I was making was she had that rating BEFORE today's Group 2 win i.e. are 3 Group wins in a row.

SLB2.0
Lucy $1.50 to win the Oaks - surely the shortest price in recent history? $7.50 to win the Australian Oaks, but she'll be competing against Treasurethe Moment, Aeliana, and many more top staying types. curious
23 minutes ago, Chief Stipe said: Seriously what is the correlation between Stakes won and the class of the race in NZ now? Not necessarily but the handicapper still has discretion to consider it. • A winning performance will usually attract a weight and /or ratings increase. Any increase is at the Handicapper’s discretion and is based on the Handicappers assessment of the horses performance in the race, taking into account factors which include: previous form and performance, strength of the opposition, authority and merit of the win, track conditions, position in running, Stipendiary Stewards reports, having regard to the weight carried, winning margin and time for the race, stake level of the race, as well as any other relevant factor. A 3.5 million dollar race will always attract a stronger field than an 18k maiden.

When was the last $3.5 million dollar maiden race? Sure there has been a Cox Plate won by a maiden (Shamus Award) but the Cox Plate isn't a maiden. I go on! a WOW scale! If 'my sporting eye' likes a horse! Perhaps I in 300? Then I try to get to know that horse? Then hope I can line it up in a race sometime! This Filly very much has that X factor! Normally I'm not really a fan of betting in those premarkets. But she really does seem to have it still all in front of her! ps, there is one market I bet into re 'a long way out', MLB, I have parlay a decent bet on Dogger$ to double up! lol, I've been offered a small take out at a profit before a pitch has been thrown!!!
