Guest Kit Walker
"They are looking out for themselves, right? I'm not here to look out for Sky City. I'm not here to look out for any established particular casino or their brands. I'm here to ensure that we have a fair marketplace and a fair, regulated market." Van Velden also said tilting the playing field in favour of local operators could breach New Zealand's free trade agreements. The DIA would be the worst department to be handling the licensing. Clueless on gambling related matters. If they had chased up overseas betting companies to collect fees due there would be no need to have Gio blocking. https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/offshore-operators-poised-to-dominate-new-online-gambling-market/ar-AA1AD44s?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=151323491b564091b76437bcd315f8c5&ei=
SLB2.0
I contacted the DIA yesterday in relation to this but for more selfish reasons. However, despite this being in my field of work, I'm surprised they're allowing this to happen. Having 15 casinos advertising in NZ could saturate the online market and drive problem gambling. Probably not, this will result in less casinos for NZederrs to wager on, most likely those who play casinos probably not interested in racing anyhow. Do you not think Entain are any different, more racing, more sports option, more gambling, great incentives to join up.

Has Entain provided more racing and more sports betting options? As for the great incentives. They're rubbish compared to Australian corps. Well you can wager on Paraguay women's football, Racing from all over the World, always looking for new ways to make a dollar, as for the incentives, maybe if they get a monopoly there might be none.
