Show Day Punters Comp??? WTF

The punters comp at Addington on Show Day, what an absolute shit show. 
It seems they can no longer run comps like they used to, you know, pay your money, give you a deposit receipt that gets updated when placing bets…. one reason Methven could not run one…. but wait for it! 
 

This year, you need to register as a single punter or syndicate, but you will need a TAB account to do all your bets with, you can not place any other bets on your TAB account that day, only option is to place bets on self serve machines…. how bloody stupid. 
Seems officials will look at your accounts when needed to view amounts, maybe verify, who knows. 

Crazy really, was going to enter but not sure, wont effect me too much as i have Betcha, but a few punters from Aus wanted to enter themselves, cant now, joke

Just be greatful that they are running a punters club - you will have more chance of winning something.

You are bloody hilarious….remember you hardly bet so i cannot see you getting involved in punters comps…

Hopefully other punters on here that have competed in previous comps will give their views. I think it is terrible, will not help on course figures at all, as majority of punters bet on phones, hardly going to queue for self service hub…. looks like we are going back in time.

Doesnt matter what you bet on computer/ipad, phone or self service machines, they still will restrict some of us so that affects turnover so much more!!

 Beats a local committee member going around with a fist full of tickets trying to sell them.  From what I've seen of punters clubs is they never return a profit which I guess doesn't worry you as you are used to it now.

Out of interest how do they restrict you more than anyone else on a self service machine? I walk into my local pub with a machine and the tab wouldn’t have a clue who’s placing the bet? Granted if you win over a certain amount you need Id.

Facial recognition and algorithms.

Turn away punters by not allowing much on restricting then slashing the hell out of fixed odds.

It takes very little $ now for them to slash the hell out of odds they are offering.

Once that happens then they are too short for other punters to wager.

Yes would have entered as well but due to restrictions I am at a complete disadvantage so not worth it. 

They don't like not being able to see who is putting on big bets so needs to be account only or Brodie might bypass the system.

Be a complete joke if someone gets restricted off the back of putting a couple of large bets on through the competition but that is just the way they operate.

You may be right, although if you are a restricted punter i am sure you can find a mate to join. 
 

I will have a go with a couple mates for a laugh, but have my reservations about the day. Just got off the phone to a mate, he usually puts in 2 - 3 teams by himself, so this year he will put in one team, so i assume far less will be bet on the day.
