So Justy Evans labels Collett's ride in the first as a "peach"

Studio star Rodders readily agrees and so a 'peach' is born

I'd call it a 'lemon' of a ride however...turned sour at the start when losing 3L from barrier uno

Desperately kicked up to save the rail position settling 6th..hooked off a tiring runner at the 500M..the ocean parted on the turn...thanks Moses

..then proceeded to bash her mount over the head 15x to avoid any pesky counting whip strikes

absolutely lemoned it to win by a nibbled neck

first 3 winners in a row and the 3rd...Big Reds..FAWNZOR got wacked over the head as well but had the added misfortune of having it's ear squashed flat

Some say "that's ok...if it looks like it's been flattened it's actually not flat"..a bit like the Earth I guess

I uphold the right of Flat Earthers' to have the right to be ninkenpoopers though

lol, phew...  I  will bite, (didn't see the race live) and had a look! with sound off,  hard to see why they were a bit slow from the barrier.. didn't panic and rode to take up their best position!!!  rode the horse out, for a nice Win!  I Do Not read the whip at the end hitting the horses head etc..  a bit of optical illusion!  did I see a pricking of ears! :)

As long as you know the rule

"Rule 638(3)(f)(i) provides that in a Flat Race a Rider must not use his or her whip:

  • forward of the Rider’s horse’s shoulder or in the vicinity of its head;

Using the available race films, Chief Stipendiary Steward John Oatham, demonstrated that approaching the 100m, Mr Mudhoo was riding his mount out using the whip in a compliant way behind the saddle. He pointed out that near the 100m, Mr Mudhoo put both hands on the reins with his whip pointing upwards, began pushing the horse and in doing so, his whip made contact on at least 2 occasions, with the horse’s head."

Collett is THE worst recidivist offender and given free rein to carry out these indiscriminate assaults on our beautiful horse's by the thoroughly hopeless RIB

I'll send you those photos which will show contact with the eye (yet again) and 3 ears being  flattened in the last few days

General 'peaches' involve 'special rides' dont they?..i.e. overcoming difficulties ..shirly not following the rail from the inside draw..hooking one out on the turn...cheating by bashing the horse not only 'forward of the Rider’s horse’s shoulder or in the vicinity of its head;

But actually on the head/neck from the "whip pointing skywards"

That's a lemon if ever there was one and leaves a bitter taste in horse lover's mouths

Life is giving you too many lemons 🍋 T-man. You're behaving like a true lemon 😅 which is defined as an item of poor quality that always needs constant maintenance.

you can go all Sour grapes 🍇 all you like  , but Sam Collett  after another winning ride , and in true  'Good Will Hunting' type style will be saying

"How do you like them Apples? 🍏" as said by Matt Damon after some more success.

you already know an apple a day keeps the doctor away 🍏

Good Will Hunting one of the finest film masterpieces ever made full of great lessons of life. Thoroughly recommend a viewing for your education . Robin Williams is fantastic in this show too.

Perhaps one of the finest quotes in the movie is for you to take on board , and a lesson for all who miss the enjoyment in things is to remember this.

"You'll have Bad Times. But it will always wake you up to the good stuff you weren't paying attention too "
