pete
Group 1 day at Te Rapa and that was Matt Cameron's comment after the first. Doesn't offer much encouragement to have a bet does it?

Kihikihi Kid
Jason Waddell speaking the truth as well , Wow Wow Wow, we are talking about one of the best days racing @x Group 1s and 2x Group2s and the track is absolute crap, Why would one bother, sitting on my multis now
MaltedMilkshake
OK where’s the great lady apologising to all participants for the crap track HER club has produced...?♀️?♀️?♀️
curious
Why are they continuing? Sounds like it's not safe. If one breaks down and brings down half the field, what then? How come they even started racing on it in the first place?
Rowley Mile
Where's Baker, where's Pike where's Rogie........if it's so bad why aren't they stepping up to the plate? it can't be as bad as they are saying surely......otherwise these pillars of the industry would be loud and proud.........?????? you think?
pete
Hard to know who to believe. Sam Spratt said it was fine and Michael Rodd said it was a bit rough in patches.

nomates
I wonder if the RIU done their inspections in the week leading up to today or if KFE or Rudders just rung them up and said all is well d'ont waste precious industry funds on the petrol . Rowley Mile
That sounds about right, from where I sit 3000 Kilometres away, track looks ok, but it's down to the jocks they know best.
Rowley Mile
The Tote turnover today will be very very interesting?.....for several reasons, there could be several suits chewing chocolate.......if you know what I mean.

Guest CrossCodes
Michael Rodd clearly thought the rail was off on Danzdanzdance, 3 wide then pushed up to second, pushed 3 wide again then out in the car park up the straight, completely ridden upside down to her usual pattern, sometimes it’s better to put a rider on who knows the horse. Rowley Mile
On that Michael Rodd was not worth the airfare!.....the life in SIN is not real time, in fact it's all down time and good times.

If track is as patchy , rough and hard as jocks saying i'd suggest DDD was feeling it , action looked scratchy coming up the straight , much better than . Rowley Mile
Hell, not a good ride from Rodd Micheal in the sprint either, might need to keep heading south, fit in down there.......or back to SIN.........Peyton Place, pass the brandy/gin. Think the form out of this meeting will be inconsistent because of the state of the track , not good enough for one of our major days but the suits will air brush it .
Rowley Mile
great ride from Rodd Michael in the last, it was beginning to look like a sad flight home........

Dark Beau
I am flabbergasted that the second best club in the North could or would put up a crap track like that. What’s gone wrong with Te Rapa? Absolutely nothing has gone right for them over the last 3 or 4 years, maybe more.

I have no idea what has become of Te Rapa. Used to be one of the great venues but seriously its become a joke. You should have seen that wankers on the stage giving out the winning trophies etc, my god its deteriorated in the last few years. No one in the crowd could have given a fark either so thats a positive I guess. Te Rapa needs a clean out of board members and urgently.

barryb
Not for 6 yrs Chief & they are dreaming if they think the likes of me are going to travel to cambridge to watch a benefit for a few chosen trainers. When they close Te Rapa they close NZ Racing.
mumbles
Crowd numbers at WF yesterday said to be 6000 plus. How does that compare to Te Rapa.
