Maija Vance update

Right now I am one Mighty Happy Mustelid... Ihave just caught up with the update on jockey Maija Vance, who was dreadfully injured last winter in a race fall. 

BOAYERS donated hundreds of dollars before Xmas last year to help Maija'a rehabilitation. Her spinal cord injuries were so severe doctors told her she was unlikely to ever walk again.

I am not sure how long ago the video was publicised...but surely TVNZ/ TV3 / Prime / TRACKSIDE (for goodness' sake!!) would and should be all over this. I was in touch with Maija at the end of January and I'm pretty sure she was still in a wheelchair then ...

for her to be actually riding a horse again is breathtakingly gutsy. Brilliant.

Good stuff. That's filmed at our old property on Popes Rd, Takanini. Didn't know it was still in use.

Pretty good stuff. Really didn't look like she'd walk again, let alone ride.
