Dougie
Tim and Ant's are ball breakers over here if you're a punter, you get the odd value runner but mostly fav's which get rolled, have been burned too often so stay away unless it's a new arrival from NZ I'm familiar with - tonight had 3 short price fav's with excellent prize money on offer and couldn't run a place. Lilley must have a huge client base, has dozens of runners every week with good returns, good old Father Christmas still running around picking up $$ and closing in on 100 starts. I remember him when I lived in CHCH and he trained from North Canterbury from memory , had a few runners but not many for a full time trainer then moves to Aussie and within a few years had plenty of horses. Dougie
Lilley has former Kiwi Belle's Son in r1 tomorrow at Maryborough, trotted roughly in first Aussie start from a stand so the mobile should decide a pretty easy win over the mile. Has an aussie rating of 52, compare that to Father Christmas 89 he should be a good money spinner if injury free.

Dougie
Nah Sydney but love my trotters so follow Victoria races a lot- This Saturday night a great battle between 2 ex pat's with Everybody Knows v Father Christmas for $24k but more importantly no Tornado Valley to beat. Easy win last night too for Monaro Mara but too short for me to bet, got into $1.60.

No champion but winning 17 races is no mean feat. It is over his pet longer distance this time , but having said that he surprised us last time leading all the way over a sprint. Do you attend Menangle at all?, or do you find it sanitised like I do after years of going to Harold Park.

Dougie
I followed FC and Alderbeck when they came over last year, sadly the later has been retired I see but well done to you and the syndicate for the success, for a horse to be running good times shows he's enjoying his work too so long may it continue.... I see another Lilley horse Youneedabitofmuscle has been sacked after 1 race this season and is for sale for $8k, might look into it. Nah I live 70km from Menagle which is way out west, killer traffic even on Saturday stop many going but do love the racing there but only 1 trot race a week, Harold park was a great night out but a terrible punting track. Last time I went to Addinton cant recall the year but it was when Robert Cameron was driving a 2 year old from memory and leading down the straight and did a left turn over the running rail, and coincidently my first time at Harold Park was when I moved to Sydney in 1996 Iraklis won the MM. Couldnt be happier with Monkey - huge improvement in a week and her Mum never even made it to the workouts so we are ahead of the game. As an aside driven by Clive and Rona's grandaughter and we been getting round with them for many years and of course they raced Holdonmyheart the dam sire of Majestic Man and our others ones so that is a neat twist to our story. We also wanted one in ChCh at workouts as the others are a long way away from most members.

I don't know how you live in a zoo like Sydney, in fact anyone for that matter. I was married in Campbelltown way back in 74 and you could fire a bullet down the main st back then and not hit anyone. Now, well it beggars belief. Used to go to Fairfield trots as well and Penrith. Went to Wentworth Park dogs once, only once. Might as well have handed my money over at the gate and gone home. Who ever invented dog racing should have been shot, probably the same guy that invented golf.
