Of course with it racing over a mile is boring!

Just a procession most of the races over the mile!

Lets run all races in NZ for awhile over a mile if it is so popular, that will certainly kill off the enthusiasts without a doubt, Globe.

Bred by Crabbe, who also bred and raced the dam with Bruce Francis, formerly of Ashburton. 

Bruce stood Save Fuel at Ashmorven stud and raced some really nice horses in the 90's; Kajura, Savarma (won five in a row I think), Lignano among others. 

That dour trait of Save Fuel tended to run through most of his horses, who seemed to be able to run for long periods at high speed. 

Shartin's blood runs back to Kajura somewhere along the line, I think.

A wee way back on the dams side Save Fuel pops up.The incomparable  Meadow Skipper and also Bret Hanover feature prominently on the Sires side and the Direct Scooter line through In The Pocket . Speed and guts .
