Liberal Arden goes out to lead and then Real Dash gives it trail and Liberal Arden goes up the passing and on to win

Common sense or dirty tactics? I go the common sense path

You bring up a good point re team driving though happy, I think the adding of passing lanes encourages team driving especially with bigger stables ...and why wouldn't you use that tactic if its there on a plate for you! Personally I think the racing wouldn't be as boring as it is now if they got rid of the passing lane, leaders hardly cop the pressure they used to...and the value of holding on to the lead so you don't get boxed in has gone. Just a procession nowadays.... I doubt Rasmussen would have given up to lead on Elle Mac on Friday night to m.p if there had been no passing lane... even though in the end it made no difference the Aussie filly clearly superior.....

Tend to agree....I thought they were a good idea years ago...but not convinced now.

Trouble is, too many allow the lead up....then get the run. Would rather a few more speed duels, a little over the soft lead scenario

Quite right kakama, trotting especially at Alex park is so predictable now.

I am going to work out a time to meet on the day with Double R , for all those BOAY members.  Probably after R2 in front of the presentation platform.

No one could accuse the Jones' stable of team driving team today with the events that unfolded between Moytura and Some Excusesomewhere!

I wonder what Mr Jones was thinking halfway through the race?

Hunterthepunter would have been celebrating Dizzys fine run and then later he would have been crying because the Allstars were winning everything

So was I.  800 bucks worth of celebrating. Money for jam that was . I only indulged this particular day, I dont normally punt. But it was easy. My tip of the day Pats Delight won at 3.60, and I screamed the house down inside the owners room on the second floor. My fellow syndicate members thought i was going to have a heart attack. Best day on the punt for 40 years .

I always wonder how a horse can be allowed to hold the win after doing this when careless driving extinguishes the chances of the runner in the trail.
