Brodie
Months ago it was announced on Trackside that RocknPop and Vinnie Rulz we’re both racing in foal! I note that both are still racing and in at Waimate today. Wondering how long they were allowed to race for before they were retired from racing in NZ? We all know that mares normally race better when they are in foal, but you would think that if they were 4 months or so that the embryo would’ve grown sufficiently large to be a hindrance to the mares racing ability. Certainly couldn’t see a human female sporting ability improving when she is 4 months pregnant, quite the opposite!

Brodie
Racing them in foal when they are 3 or 4 months, you wouldn’t think would be that comfortable for the embryo! imagine being the foal and having your mum running aro7nd the training track and then the race track every day at speed. You would think it would be kind of upsetting wouldn’t you! Its a wonder the animal rights activists have not co e down on it? Bugger, RIU might now do that! Na, do busy chasing their tails, while they have got jobs! Think they will be eliminating some of them soon!i

Hope this helps even though from memory its a TB rule "Every year without fail, fillies win races in the 120-day period during which they are permitted to race after being covered. .. Chief Stipe
Statistically they perform no better than their not in foal peers.

Greg Saw that Greg, but for the two mares still to be racing they must’ve been served after approx 24th November last year that seems pretty late doesn’t it?
