Purdon runners

You would have to say that without the blood spinning, many of the Purdon runners have been very disappointing.

Their Auckland horses over the past few weeks have been simply terrible , many short price favourites running down the track.

So far tonight Enhance Your Calm, Aqua Sancta both favourites running on empty up the straight,  Shaan Noble red hotter beaten and other stable runner down the track, yes they won a maiden trot but that’s hardly anything to write home about.

Pretty apparent many of the horses are lacking ‘something’ they had before, as they certainly aren’t running riot like they have in the past.

Maybe we are starting to see the results of many  stables actually racing on a level playing field?

I don't think Aqua Sancta is much chop and as you say the trotter was a shoe in in a terrible field.

Enhance Your Calm was disappointing after a pretty soft run to finish near last.

The Purdon 3 year old gelding going down to Kurow  in race 4 will be a litmus test. It should, in theory, destroy that field as any All Star would do.
