Happy Sunrise
A message from Dean - TAB NZ Executive Team Update 27 August 2020 , News I am pleased to let you know the process of review of TAB NZ's Executive Leadership structure is now complete and we have confirmed our new leadership team which comprises of Jessica Meech - GM Corporate & Governance Services and Sam Moncur - GM Finance along with with existing executive Glen Saville - GM Customer and Betting who will hold the role until later this year and experienced industry executive Edward Rennell as GM Broadcasting and Operations until April 2021. The new structure will formally take effect on 7 September 2020. Both Jessica and Sam have been with the TAB for several years, most recently as General Counsel and Acting GM Finance respectively and have long standing personal involvement and commitments within the racing industry. The new team balances the need to maintain operational continuity and industry credibility with introducing new leadership. The Board is confident Glen, Edward, Jessica and Sam will help move TAB NZ to another level and focused on delivering world-class betting and entertainment services. Having Glen and Edward on board provides us with critical stability heading into our busiest period and give us time to conduct a national and international search to permanently fill these important roles. In the immediate term, the organisation is focused on financial sustainability and supporting staff as they respond to the challenges they and the business are facing as a result of the pandemic and economic uncertainty. I would also like to recognise the departing executives Stephen Henry, Gary Woodham and Andy Kydd and thank them for leading the organisation as it has transitioned from the New Zealand Racing Board, through the Racing Industry Transition Agency and into TAB NZ. The Board will resume its search for a permanent Chief Executive shortly which will then help inform the appointments of the Customer and Betting and Broadcasting and Operations roles. In the interim, I will be more involved in the day to day operational leadership needs of the business. Yours sincerely Dean McKenzie Executive Chair
Brodie
A bit of a clean out of executives. The challenges were not caused by Covid19, there were major financial issues well before that! The ridiculous decisions made by executives, including the major eff up by John Allen and his lemon of a betting platform that is a noose around their necks! This Glen Saville, remains the manager of Customer and betting till later this year??? Has anyone ever heard or seen him doing anything at all beneficial for customers or betting??? Hopefully they can turn things around as they need major changes for the better or the racing industry is doomed! Doomed I say, Doomed! "Another level". Another level to what? To what we have now? And if so, is it another level down, so the whole of racing experience becomes even worse than what it is now? Or have we hit rock bottom, and the "another level" means we can only go one way? i.e up. The term "world-class" is bandied about a lot, especially by government departments. What it really means, what it translates to, is that the current system/service/product is utter sh!t, and they will try and improve. Maybe they got mixed up, and really mean this "world class" thing, is actually "third-world"?! Bugger third world, bugger "world class" horse manure, try first class... If they mean "world class" - this means the following needs to eventuate: 1. Trackside Radio returns. And returns on both, AM and FM frequencies. 2. Extensive Newspaper coverage with full fields, comment and photos (think Aussie major daily newspapers) swings back into action. 3. Live and free-to-air racing on TV (for everyone) returns on a dedicated channel, focussing on domestic and Aussie (city racing, not bush racing rubbish), with on-course presenters etc. Then, and only then, once the aforementioned 3 points are implemented, can they (NZ TAB) try and make the whole "betting and entertainment services" FIRST FARKN CLASS, and not the white fat flabby hairy pimply arse it is now. Right rant over. Get on with it Dean. Good luck Jessica, Edward, Sam and Glen. Edited August 27, 2020 by Rusty 1

I am on the fence until I see what the next guy is like! Brodie I would not be thinking restrictions are going to be lifted unless NZ is prepared to go against what the rest of the world is doing! More likely it will be worse than what Saville gave you, especially now money is so tight at head office..

Just not worth the effort and I am sure it is the same for many others! They only allow you to have a pittance on and then slash the odds and wont let you on again straight away!!!!! To call them Bookies nowadays is a insult to the old Bookies!!! NZ TAB give the NZ punters a fair go!!!
