Subsidy

Why are trainers the only ones GRNZ is looking after with the subsidy?

Many owners pay monthly fees to their trainer to have their dog trained by them, which includes feeding the dog. In those case it's the owners that will be suffering.

Shouldn't GRNZ be treating all their LP's equally?

I suppose that's the kind of response you would expect from a GRNZ board with trainers or those with vested conflicted interests in trainers on it.

Unable to think beyond themselves...

Would be a damn good time to follow up numbers that trainers may claim the dogs they have....

SHUSH, SILENCE - don't let the word get out. This could be the most cunning ever RIB (RIU) investigation underway into the the under reporting of dogs that reside in a trainers kennels.

How could it get any cheaper than $5 each for the industry to get trainers into dubbing themselves in for exceeding their maximum number of dogs allotted to them to have on the property by the RIU when they first became trainers?

I'm sure the local councils will be informed as well. I'd hate to think that GRNZ or the RIB would withhold relevant legal information from the authorities.

The easy answer - The virus had little or no effect on middle earth (the CD) & the countries leading trainer (well in name anyways). When a certain trainer or trainers have the Racing Manager looking after them like he seems to do for no others (think back to the Amazing Farce), then those trainers tend to get what they want.

Another explanation could be that with a CANINE corona virus, GRNZ could throw animal welfare out the window at first opportunity to get them back on the track, with little chance of getting caught, whether the dogs are ready to run or not... With a HUMAN corona virus, GRNZ are powerless to throw those welfare issues to the wind.

If an owner was not happy with paying training fees why have a dog with that trainer in the first place. I’m sure trainers will discuss with their owners in this sort of situation what happens and that is between them. And no not a plan to fake the amount of dogs trainers have. As it’s visible on the GRNZ website how many registered dogs trainers have… and trainers with staff are entitled to the govt wage subsidy so I’m not sure your point? Yankiwi obviously a disgruntled ex owner of some sort.
