Newmarket
What a terrible ride on Run For Perfection. Was never gonna get a run, but still tried for gaps that were never going to come. this guy is very overrated, only wins on hotpot’s that any chimp with one arm could win on. By the way, never had bet on the race, feel sorry for those that did bet on it. If you did lose your dough, get on next time, would be surprised if owners stay loyal to the so called… Lethal😆 1
Joe Bloggs
Why he didn't ease across Sheriff's heels at the top of the stretch is beyond me, at least that way you leave nothing to chance. The way he was travelling he would have been right in it........just a bad ride Newmarket, the first of many today......stay tuned.

muzenza365
What a load of rubbish, the horse was never traveling like a winner, If you are going to blame the rider , then next start i will have a bet with either or both of you, if he doesn't ride it. Let me know if you will back your judgement.

It would have gone close with you riding it Well where was Innes going to go with it? Couldn't have settled the horse anywhere else but where he did. Had no opportunity to improve during the race. Sheriff caused it a few problems on the turn and straightening when you would have expected that horse to drift out but instead it hung in. As I said even if it got a run it wouldn't have beaten the winner. So there's two crap opinions.
Joe Bloggs
We pay them to think, that's beyond Innes, he knew he was travelling better than Sheriff, or he should have and once he got off the fence should have looked to either nudge him out of the way or come across his heels, either way he's cost the connections plenty and if that horse was mine, he wouldn't get within cooee of him next time.....so there, nah nah nah. Once Les Crayeres went forward he tried to nudge Sheriff but it was hanging and laying all over him. Innes pulled the his horse up saving it from being banged up. Joe Bloggs
Have a look also at the ride on Princess Lowry, a 1 start filly being asked to run in a Gr2 by Rogie and ran the race of her life. When was the last time you saw a filly slaughtered like that and run 3rd in a Gr2 thank you very much. Young Elliot has the excuse of youth, but the standard of riding in New Zealand is deplorable, or do you disagree with that Chief.

FFS @Joe Bloggs hang your belligerent bridle up for a moment and take those blinkers off. Les Crayeres was outside Innes approaching the turn NOT Sheriff. When Les Crayeres went forward around Sheriff there was nowhere for Innes to go.

However in Race 1 you have to give Innes some credit for not pushing through under Sheriff when it was laying in and hanging. Bowman might have gone for it but then that hasn't worked for him nor those around him including some horses this year. Has it?

You have to start making your mind up what you're going to do well before the corner, you need a plan B, as I said, in hindsight Innes would probably agree, although Jockeys seldom own up to mistake, he was travelling so well he should have had the plan to ease across heels as soon as possible, I've given heaps of jocks a spray, and praised them when they've got beat too if it was a good ride, but again, he should have run a place at least with an uninterrupted run down the outside. Right you are saying he should have pushed out at the 800m? The horse was travelling because he had it settled on the fence doing nought. Just needed a smidge of luck. So Tiptronic's jockey slows them down and stacks them up. No other Jockey shows any initiative and lets him do it. Two Illicit galloped on. What was the name of the horse that broke down badly? Looked like a suspensory ligament issue in its near rear.

I'm getting a nose bleed...No, at the 800 he needed a game plan, that's when the brain engages the gears.....he got off the fence...10 out of 10.....he should have then worked out, right now I need to look at the opportunity to either push and shove...he was going that well, or, ease across the hanging horse and get to the outside.....0 out of 10......Newmarket is on the money, the horse should have nearly won......That's it I'm done, going for a surf and then to the unvaccinated friendly pub....shhhhh, it's a secret, Anaconda would have a fit if she knew......

It was a NZ Group 2 Joe, about the equivalent of a $50,000 race at Pakenham. A couple of starters had won two races so that was about it. Game run by that horse though, covered a bit of ground.
