' no Kiwi tourists on the strip down at surfers, it's usually teeming so it's very strange and sad...'...Kiwis flock to the GC in our winter.

They "flock" at anytime there are holidays.  The Gold Coast is relatively cheap to get to and something for all the family.  Suggest you get back to your economic text books Holy Pasta!

Produce your evidence.

"This is also the first chance we have had to really expand on the Gold Coast "famous for fun" message in New Zealand with television commercials, digital advertising and extended print space to show that fun means different things to different people."

Mr Winter said the campaign will run from March until June.

It is common knowledge  that the number of  Kiwis holidaying on the GC and in the pacific islands  surge when it is winter in NZ.

You really don't understand the concept of evidence do you?

I'll give you a clue.  Prior to Covid NZ (20%) was a close second to China (26%) in terms of a source of tourists to the Gold Coast.

There are two peaks - summer December to March and then the winter months.

Oh twin peaks now!

I most definitely understand 'evidence'...you seem to confuse it with....'proof'...they are different.

Look I don't often agree with @Joe Bloggs but in this instance I do and we are both right.

As for the semantics of evidence vs proof - you have failed to provide either.  Much the same as how Ardern is leading the country.

There is abundant evidence and proof that Ardern is leading the country.

You display your comprehension deficiencies on a daily basis-JB did not endorse your premise.

Well she is hiding more than she is leading at the moment.  You must be sad that you can't fawn over her everyday from the pulpit of propaganda and fear!

Only in your opinion which counts for nought.  You attention and retention span only lasts about two posts.

As @Joe Bloggs posted "Kiwis flock to the GC over the summer holiday period...." end of story.

The peak of tourist activity on the Gold Coast is actually December and January.  The highest number of flights from NZ occur during these months.

Not sure when Bloggs became the 'end of story' expert.

I would have thought a googly eyed, master debater like you would provide a meaningful...link.

Mind you ,it appears your debating skills consist of ad hominem attacks and the did/didn't ...'method'.

Well if that's correct (not that much of what you say is correct) then this post is pure projection.

FACT:  as many Kiwis "flock" to the GC in the summer as in the winter.  Based on historical data of airline arrivals on the GC from Auckland more travel in the summer.  Suggest you learn to Google as on your current form you won't last long in Cindy's research (propaganda) unit.  Then perhaps you might be well qualified given your propensity to make things up.

Hey Pasta Boy, there are so many Kiwi's living on the Coast all it would take to smash the record is for a bro to come on over and wammo, 200,000 here for Christmas. Tom Tate the Mayor of the GC is saddened that there are no flights into Coolie from NZ as we count on the multitude of Kiwi visitors to support our hotels and restaurants......you should come over next summer Pasta boy and see for yourself.....or better still, ring a cuzzy that lives here, they'll set you straight.

Well Joe and Rav , the GC has high occupancy now the borders are open. and high prices too for summer accomadation.  Where I pay $150 night in March is near $600 a night currently. Many places with No Vacancy.

200,000 people arrived earlier in 2 weeks this month when borders re opened again on 13th Dec . A lot of folk won't be going back to Sydney or Melbourne either as the lock-downs were long and gutting for a lot of them. and will enjoy the SE QLD lifestyle for years we hope.

Plenty of kiwis around Brissy ,every workplace has one to every 10 locals is the average I have found over the years.

Gold Coast is getting by without the kiwi planes , but hope they return real soon.

Maybe they can enjoy the grass track circuits and summer Nz racing in the meanwhile and return to Magic Millions races in 2023 (all going well)

Yes mate but with an ankle bracelet adornment you might not have been down to Cavill Ave later than 6pm, once the sun sets and all the locals go home, the place has to rely on the thousands of Mexicans up from VIC and NSW to spend their moula, which they do, however, it's a fact that the Kiwi's stayed and spent up, they're not here, so that spend is missing.

Where I live up on the Broadwater the Grand's beer garden is empty, the cafes along Marine Pde are half empty, the breakfasting is terrible to see with the chairs and tables deserted .........Gamma lives in Utopia as north of Logan they just love Annaconda, most are public servants that greet the eagle every month, on time and never late, those that are self employed or in industries not Gov related aren't going as well as the socialist rag would have you believe.
