Gammalite
Well after copping the 2 week suspension and $40,000 fine for heaps of Whip use in The Queen Elizabeth Stakes last week Nash has stepped it up a notch. Quite incredibly in a small field , he has risked life and limb (His own and Kementari's especially ) by bull -dozing up the fence to get the win. I credited Nash Rawiller with one of the Best Inspired rides ever, on a non-mudder last week with the daring Think It Over ride on the outside fence. Today, I credit him with one of the worst non-thinking rides ever , that was dangerous , down on the other rail . Literally bounced off it just after this image below. Nash in the Blue silks, About to take that 'gap' ????? inside the hot fav BIG PARADE Randwick race 6. Com'on Nash , that was unacceptable from an experienced rider.

'Sooky' punters would be ok with it (those that backed Special K). Unless of course he clipped heels and fell and died and the sooks/ fans lost their "ride dangerous , don't give a flying f ...for your fellow riders and will to Win ' money. Then they would see it for what it was. Reckless. (another good horse lol...)

From what I've seen over the years you are more likely to clip heels if you have a hand full of horse and you stay on the backside of the one in front. Nash got the horses neck and shoulder inside and pushed out. Full credit to Kementari to have the strength to do it.
Chief Stipe
How many horses in the old days came back with paint on their flanks?
nod
It was plain stupid-should have got 12 months not a mere 7 days

Nash was riding 'Angry' after already gaining a suspension and fine the week before in the QE. Never drive 'angry' mate !!! lol.... (from Groundhog day lol) You are right that I'm getting soft , Probably because of the Bowman near killing Andrew Adkins (out for a year+) less than 2 years ago , and Berry near killing Brenton Avdulla (out for long time , broken vertabrae and all) in the Silver shadow Stakes. The 2 horses HotnHazy and Xtremetime WERE killed. probably better to NOT ride on the wild side ??????

It was a Gp race, and sometimes risks are worth taking Unlike other dangerous rides where a jockey elects to take a needle eye gap where they go between two horses which can be bad, this ride he only had to go between one horse and a plastic forgiving rail. This in my humble opinion looked much worse than it actually was. In summation, my thoughts are great ride.

I have heard they are gunna play that tape at apprentice school to make sure the youngsters Know what to do when it comes to riding a Gp race. .a/ risk your life , b/ your horse, c /and damage to other expensive animals (nah you won't gallop on their hind legs if ya do it right , sort of thing ) lol..... easy as ABC race riding. Stewards thought it was a 'great ride' too. !! 'suspended Nash from May 1st to May 13th.' A ride worth bottling. what a 'great ride'. ..apologies for the sarcasm but seems appropriate in this case. The best thing is grand-stand riders aren't riding the races . One good thing about it anyway lol..
