KickintheKods
Well done Sam. It might be claimed as an Aussie win but there was a Kiwi involved. Brilliant effort on the bag of his good mate "Mullet Man Cam" at St Andrews. It's been a long journey - a great article in NZ Golf magazine from a couple of years ago https://nzgolfmagazine.co.nz/the-caddy-life-sam-pinfold/ but well worth the effort. Sam loves his horses, with runners in both Australia and NZ.

If NZTR had any people with business brains they would look at ways of strengthening the Golf/Racing relationship.
The Centaur
I realise several clubs stage golf tornies for racing participants however clubs could go big combining some TAB betting plus extra sponsors all based around a formula of 18 holes Friday, 9 holes Saturday morning for the leaders and final show down at the races in the afternoon between top 2 or 3 based on some form of hitting on the inside of the track. The prize money would have to be generous governed by the degree of sponsors plus golf club support.
billy connolly
Yes, wouldn't be hard to set up a green on course, get a pro like Fox along, pay an entry fee and have a "beat the pro" chip/wedge competition. The golf tournaments were once a highlight of yesteryear's racing circuits. 1

KickintheKods
The TAB currently have an advert running about sport betting - three guys on the golf course - it's a total cock up of course because nobody in their right mind would punt on the Warriors.... If they had shown the boys watching a race while waiting on the tee, now that is much more believable.

I'm surprised Warriors matches ain't the biggest punted events that the TAB run, on the other team to win😀
mikeynz
Did everybody get the nice juicy odds on the Raiders at halftime, probably more likely the sun going out than the Warriors winning.
