Gammalite
The big night Saturday Night of the year at Albion , and to celebrate the Grand Circuit Event the Group 1 The Blacks A Fake, here's a small comp for some Fun .. The 'front' row Barrier draw has been done for the 'Stalwarts' of BOAY harness racing. The second row still has vacancies for those that might like a number. RULES. a/ players have the same horse number , every race, from race No 1 through to Race 8 The Blacks A Fake Grand circuit event. (so a max of 8 horses) b/ Points given each race 8 pts for 1st placing, 6 pts for 2nd, 4 pts for 3rd, 3 pts for 4th, 2 pts for 5th, 1 pt for 6th. c/ The winning BOAY poster will be the player with the most points after race 8 Saturday night at Albion Park Brisbane. and wins the Barrier Draw (you have the same horse number every race ) Number 1's DAVIS , Davis kicks off in race 1 with one of his favourites in 'Captain Crusader' (a huge chance) and 'Triple Eight' in the feature race. Number 2's RANGATIRA , Ranga has a fine selection of 2's including kiwi trainer Nathan Purdon with his fine filly 'Amore Vita' in the QLD Oaks. Number 3's HUNTERthePUNTER, Hunter has a great show with 'Credit Master' in the trotters Cup and kiwi 'Spirit of St Louis' in the feature race too. Number 4's CHIEF STIPE, the Chief in with a rough chance , and could be 'Kashed Up' after the first race. 'A G's White Socks' carrys kiwi hope for him as well. Number 5's GAMMALITE , drawn out a bit so will be under pressure, but if 'Ronaldo' wins the first race it could be Goal ! goal! goal ! lol. Number 6's THE GALAH, caught wide out The Galah will have to 'Turn It Up' in the big race to take victory. He is a real Raconteur though.! so might win Race 1. Number 7's BRODIE, the Brodster virtually No chance from this alley, but is does go off 'Like A Wildfire' so gets him in the Big race, and he's 'Rockin With Elvis' in race 2 so can't half be bad Brodster !! he might put you back 'In the Ghetto or 'Heartbreak Hotel though .....lol.... The second row draws of numbers 8 to 13 are still open for any interested players ??? (some good horses drawn there too) pick your number and join up ?? @Blackie? , @Greyhound?, @Walt? @Mikey? @Happy Sunrise? ..anyone? just let us know here.... if you're interested

Think Captain Crusader should of won last week IMO. had $10 ew at 50-1 here. wasn't a great drive by Rickie at all. Young Will Rixon will be winning from the pole in race 1 I reckon.

Yes, young Rixon will handle him well. That's another thing I like about Australian harness trainers there give these young drivers a go. You've got young Rixon and the likes of young gun Hart. That's why I like Majestic Cruiser to win for the young guy. Over there top drivers get a chance despite their age, here the likes of Sarah O'Reilly, the best female driver since Natalie Rasmussen, gets few drives and even fewer group race drives. Narissa McMullen a very good horseperson from a family that is just as good as the Rasmussen Clan in Queensland. and you've seen in NZ how good a Rasmussen can be. Narissa would get a lot of help from brother Pete. Pete has some of the best results with trotters. Pete Won last Tuesday with his newbie from kiwiland KING OF THE NORTH in 1.57 odd. Gammalite
Fine and sunny for the big day ,fast racing tonight Albion. About forty NZ brand /bred horses in the 8 comp races , many owned by NZ connections tonight. Here's 6 of them that didn't make the field for the Group 1 , so are in the support race. MachD, AG, StarG, DeusEx, CastNoShadow, and LLcoolJ so will be a good battle in Race 7. MikeyNZ can have the Number 10's as has the NZ brand too, and Greyhound who won the most quiz in at 13's to complete the BOAY competition field. Will post a results thread with points (Green Jersey) and $10eachway On Every runner to see who (which number) gets the win (Yellow Jersey) . 2 winners tonight !! here's race 7. That's why I like Majestic Cruiser to win for the young guy. Well picked Mate. and Luke McCarthy had a juniot driver as well , the young Jack Callaghan drive the fav for him too, into 2nd place .(Spirit of St Louis) and he beat Luke in earlier race too. Two Junior drivers quinella!! wow! in a Grand Circuit race !! the driving standard here in Oz is in great hands for more decades, Hart and Callaghan are both near 10/10 drivers already. The 2 juniors dead -heated in that race just above this post too. Cam Hart and Taleah Mc.. Edited July 23, 2022 by Gammalite

Majestic Cruiser I like that horse, I like his style of racing, not many horses with a sprint like that these days mate! He keeps coming... I'd love to see him at Addington for NZ Cup, he'd be a royal show. Yes, you are right about Australian trainers giving young drivers ago. Matthew Craven uses the juniors and he doesn't need to because he is a good driver himself. As you last night Taleah and before her he had the lovely Sofia Arviddsen driving Group race winners. It's been a great carnival. I came out ahead because of good collects off Captain Crusader and Majestic Cruiser so I am happy. Hope you got plenty mate.

While they still go around it's a great bit of traditional entertainment, and you can admire the skill level and horse-power on display. There was still some NZ interest I thought , so tried to generate some support here , but we didn't have the travelling trainers like last year when American Dealer won the Derby, Krug had a crack, Copy That and of course Amazing Dream taking the 2 big Group 1's. Quite a few Nz owners had a go , they put horses with the Oz trainers these days which makes sense I guess. Alta Orlando is STILL earning big dollars for example. and owned by NZ leading trainers. Luke Whittaker won a Group 1 too, a young Nz driver, winning the trot like Anthony Butt did last year. Bring on the NZ Cup and FFA carnival Addington Nov . can't wait.
