Brodie
Good interview with Craig Edmonds at Oamaru today after the win with Ellantine by Unhinged Nigel asked him what a day in his life involved? Craig stated that he is up and working at the stables at 5 in the morning!!! Seriously, you need to be so dedicated to be wanting to be up in Winter outside at 5.0 am!!! Yes I appreciate it is what they have to do to make a living but they really do deserve every bit of success they get for what they have to put up with. Not all trainers are up at 5am in the morning but geez I do not know how you could keep doing it, week in and week out 7 days a week especially if you aren't getting results? Far far easier ways of making a living I wouldve thought but then we need them or we would not have anything to punt on! On a slightly different tangent I was just checking results from the Kurow meeting, this once was a significant raceday but gee just small fields yesty, starting to believe there is too much same old same old with harness racing, cant be easy to maintain public interes consistently, heaps of meetings I dont pay any attention to at all these days, yesty was another, hence only came to my attention when looking at results. Honestjohn
One trainer I had had a full time job 6am til 3pm then went home and worked his horses. He broke them in as well in the afternoons. Hj
