Brodie
One of the nicest guys in harness racing in Canterbury, Colin DeFilippi had one of his best nkghts at Addington for a long time. Colin used to be one of our best drivers for a very long time but has been quieter than he once was with drives and horses at the races. He is probably under utilised nowadays but then that may be by choice? Anyway a great effort tonight to produce Heza Sport and Sporty Charlie to win first up against good opposition. They both went good at the trials last week and performed great tonight. A long stalwart of harness racing and deserves all the success he gets! 4

De fillipi again showed what a top trainer he still is.Hes still got it. Last night also saw korbyn newmann prove that he can deliver when given the best drives in the dunn team. Two well judged drives. Hes one of those drivers that for some reason seems to be under estimated by the punters, and pays more on the tote than they should. Hes a driver that always gives me confidence to invest if i think hes on a top chance..
Blackie
Agree with all the above, CJ been doing it for a long time and you always have a horse for next week, important in this game. Nice to see him & Julie get a good one. I thought you might of had a go about MP’s handling of Chambray in R5 the galah. How he got away with that one, he’s a magician. If he was checked at the 400m, as per the Stipes report, who checked him and who was culpable? Cleary ran over the top of the helmet in front of him trying to recoup the half length he lost when the winner pulled in front of him. But what would I know, just my humble opinion. 1

Well i backed first rose, and it had its forward momentum interrupted when the horse it was following, obsession, locked wheels and lost momentum as it improved. It looked like Korbyn newman was just able to prevent first rose from breaking, but purdon not so lucky with chambray who suffered from the chain reaction. No fault of either newman or purdon that they got checked at that point. Personally i didn't rate chambray a win chance in that race, but it was travelling well at the time it broke so not sure how it would have finished.Maybe might have run 3rd or thereabouts.
